Hello pilots. I have been out of the game for a while and was wanting to know if you still cannot put rigged ships into freighters or not? Or do I still need to use an alt to wrap and contract it to my main?

Edit- Probably should have done some research here first. While I was sure that I have seen my corpmates hauling fitted ships, they may have used the trick you mentioned. Perhaps just get a friend to courier contract it to you if you can't?

You still have to **** about with a contract.

If brute force isn't working, you're just not using enough.

Please Note: Any advice given comes with the caveat that nothing will be suitable for every situation.

If you're unaware of it, and depending on the size of the ships you're trying to move, you may find the Orca and its Ship Maint valuable. While not large it is the only means by which to haul fitted and rigged ships around Emipre without resorting to the courier contract trick.

Why are we still having to mess about with contracts to haul rigged, unpackaged battleships through Highsec, when anything smaller can be moved quickly and easily with an Orca?

It is my humble opinion that a change should be made.

I have several suggestions for this:

a) the Orca is given a larger ship maintenance bay to accommodate a battleship size vessel
b) introduce scripting for freighters to turn cargo space into a ship maintenance bay
or c) make a new 'industrial command ship' with carrier size bays and module / defensive capabilities similar to that of an Orca

just sayin', would make a lot of people really happy that they dont have to use an alt / freight service to haul their battleships through highsec in one trip
