These uses for a packed pod are infinite.

FYI OP...only way to get the packed pod in a contract is to put it in a container.

Alright, I get it..I have to hold your hand on this one.

Create a throwaway toon, put it in your corp (eg, must be in a player corp, not NPC).

Leave toon in pod in a station with a corp hangar. Biomass toon while in pod.
Pod appears in corp hangar. Drag to ship hangar, repack. Voila!

Note: If biomassed in a NON-CORP office station, pod goes to impound.

And again, the only way to contract a pod (500m3) is to place it in a huge secure container or larger.

As an aside, every once in a while you will see an unpiloted Capsule floating in space.....the same
mechanic produces this effect if the toon is in space.

Didn't know that, found it indeed in the corp hangar. Now I know you can make one yourself, its not rear and no need to sell it. Will keep it just for the fun of having a extra pod.
