IS one type of tower more common than others?

In the "80% of ice" from high sec, I assume CCP is just focused on fairly equal amounts of ice from each racial area.

So, if one race has more than its fair share of towers, then it could be far less than 80% of its needs being supplied from high sec.

I find that the market is generally able to answer this question. Killboards should be able to as well.

My guess is Caldari towers. They have the most CPU and that's needed for research and moon mining, two major uses of towers.

I also see a lot of Minmatar towers and barely any Gallente ones.

Yeah I don't see much of Gallente towers but I do see Minmatar ones a lot.
