The time has come when a moon could not be held by a un-fueled POS.
One of these should be true to right the POS situation.

  • Allow for 23 hour of un-fueled POS to stay at a moon. Once the 23 hour is done the un-fueled POS floats away like secured cans.
  • If there is a POS that is un-fueled it does not have any shield or armor and has 1/8th structure. This will allow small ships to clear up the POS.

Holding a POS with an un-fueld POS is wrong and should not be tolerated.

I am not addressing how you can shoot the POS in low high sec.
Fueling a POS should be the most important part of a POS. There is plenty of notifications. There is plenty of in-game precautions to warn the owner.

no, this idea is bad, and you should feel bad.

One of the bitter points of a good bittervet is the realisation that all those SP don't really do much, and that the newbie is having much more fun with what little he has. - Tippia

i know several corps who kick everyone out, get their standings up to a certain level, drop numerous poses and then invite the members back. they only use a couple and have the others incase they want to expand later.
this is keeping others from dropping a pos and goo'ing it up, or a research pos.
something.

i think the anchor mechanism should have a fuel reserve backup itself. while its running, its fine, but once it runs out of fuel, it goes into a semi reinforced mode where the anchoring mechanism holds it there. once it runs out, its done and unanchors itself.
then, anyone can fly along and scoop it up as space debris.

If you want that spot, take it. Everything in the game is pvp, this is no different. If it's not worth the isk or time for you to take it, you didn't really want it bad enough.

With the increase in shiptoasting, the Report timer needs to be shortened.

NAH have to say pos that are not fueled and no one is using it.. it should be removed from play, if you want to keep a pos there as a book mark to keep others from grabbing moons then fuel them up. should be simple run out of fuel 5 days later no fuel in them they lose their orbit and either float away or get pulled into the gravity well of the moon..
or if you come across a non fueled pos and been non active 5 days later you can take it, pay a retrofit charge and the pos is yours. either way will remove allot of pos sitting around book marking spots. also like to see player controlled bases around planets, ie gambling base a Vegas in space, corp controlled.. players come pay isk / aur / plex and play games of chance to win.. and get paid if they win in isk.. the house gets all the profits .. they buy the games from eve market set them up payout amounts ect.. players can set up special prizes like ships / equipment ect.. another would be a resort / bar type station players go there play isk stay x amount of time and can get bonuses to their toon.. combat bonus, mining bonus, ect.. contact agents for missions, ect..

This topic touches something really important. offline POS stuck in moons preventing the gameplay of others....

It has being a long time since CCP is planning to make POS anchorable everywhere. Not only in moons.

Possible after the Odyssey expansion they will start working on it. A POS revamp is something that EVE desperatly needs.
