I'm really looking forward to the rifter USB hub. I don't need a USB hub, but a rifter model will be pretty awesome sitting here in my home office. Maybe I can hang it from the ceiling or something neato like that.

ShockedShockedShockedYou just gave me the most awesome idea for my media center/theater PC setup in the basement! Lol

One of the bitter points of a good bittervet is the realisation that all those SP don't really do much, and that the newbie is having much more fun with what little he has. - Tippia

The way I'm reading the Collector Edition is that by buying the thing, you'll get the following "in the box", when it ships in October/November.

  • Golden Pod
  • Gnosis BPC
  • Clothes
  • DUST suits
  • DUST guns
  • Sarum Magnate Frigate (?)
  • Hardcover book
  • CD of the symphony
  • Rifter USB Hub
  • anything I'm forgetting

For those of us who have PRE-ORDERED, along with the above stuff, we also get the code for a Nefantir Thrasher.

I read it this way too... but I've been seeing people talk about their golden pods like it's something they have in-game right now.
I WANT to believe that they are just mixing up future and present tense, but not so sure. I'm about to file a petition just to be on the safe side. What?

I've just bought the CE for eve, and redeemed the Nefanter Thrasher. As far as I can see there is no golden pod just yet so I assume it will be an unlock code in the box set along with the other special gifts.

That is correct! "Nefantar Thrasher" is provided as Pre-order bonus. All the other ingame items will be available inside the code shipped in the Collector's Edition Box. The "Amarr Drop Uplink" will be available at later date."

Just part of many incentives to encourage us to hold this amazing collection.

I believe the date for the Amarr Drop uplink is the 15/16th May, there was something on the Nefanter voucher about it in the bottom right.

Just a heads up - Musterbrands will ship to freight forwarders, so you do have to option to use one if you stay in a country they will not ship to.

Got me my sets and the preorder codes.

Paid with a verified Paypal account. Credit cards will probably not be accepted as the shipping address and billing address will differ - unless you make some arrangements with your bank. (Do note that MB seems to save your CC info, which isn't exactly a good thing)

I expect the freight forwarding service and shipping will be expensive... but there's little choice there seeing how MB has no plans to service Asian countries.

Edit: To add, it might be worth mentioning that it appears that Amazon customers will not get the preorder codes. Well maybe they will, but it will probably be with the box set in October. Too easy to order on Amazon, get your codes and cancel the order - Amazon does not charge on pre-orders until they are ready to ship. Probably would earn you a ban like you would get if you reversed a charge on Amazon GTCs - but that don't stop smartypants from trying.

Well, if that's what you get for posting the instructions three hours earlier, guess I'll keep things to myself next time.

Edit tx Cool

Why does the EVE store say:

"*For all deliveries in the European Union: prices incl. VAT, excl. shipping costs"

Yet cart says:

"Subtotal 149.99€ *
Shipping costs
Eve Delivery Europe 8.48€ *
20% VAT 26.41€

TOTAL COST
158.47€"

You can't just whack 20% on top and call it "VAT" and hope we don't notice... And European advertising law states that price indicated should include VAT, taxes and other dues.

I was going to pre-order, but this just smells bad. I can contact some folks in the US and get them to ship it to me and save enough for a 60 day GTC over the EVE store.

Golden pod seems extremely pretentious to me, and breaks ~my immersion~

In all seriousness I don't have a problem with other people getting it, but is it automatically applied to your account or a redeemable item (like PLEX) you can sell to another player?

So do you get the digital stuff now? And wait till october for the real stuff?

Do not assume anything above this line was typed by me. Nerf the Truth, it's inconvenient.

I was disinclined to post about this "mysterious code" because I could not for the life out of me, find references made by CCP.

Most likely not. Seeing how this Golden Pod is suppose to be "permanent" and "account-bound," you won't be able to trade it with other players.

If you pre-order before the release/shipping date (October 2012) or before supplies run out, you will receive a PRE-ORDER BONUS CODE that present you with 1) "Nefantar Thrasher" and 2) Dust 514 related Amarr Uplink (delayed until May 7th).

As for the rest of the ingame/physical items, you have to wait ill it arrives physically to your location. The code will be presented inside the shipment.

As Taria quoted:

"The box set will also include a “Mystery Code” that will grant owners special, but currently secret, benefits related to future CCP products and events." is a quote from the page in the above link.

Wouldn't have figured out how to work around the problem without you. I made the quoted topic as a lot of people seemed to be ignoring your instructions at first (probably couldn't find it?) - I should've credited you on it, I apologize.

Holy fcuk. I mean, I know firsthand why they call Eve 'spreadsheets online' (I have a ton going), I know why they say Eve players are to nerds, what nerds are to normal people, and I know people get obsessive about learning every little detail, but writing a 'guide' on a promotional retail item? I've seen it all. Son, I am dissapoint.

I would love to get it, but it would probably cost two ****ing grand to ship it to New Zealand, the last stuff I ordered from the store before it closed almost cost me as much to ship it as the items did. Shocked

I will always be pleased with what the listed the contents as though "Educational Material" Lol

I wonder what kind of shipping it is to use NZPost's youshop... maybe it will be *slightly* cheaper...
