Coming back after pvping in gw2 for 8 months. Man the devs are slow over there. Pvp stagnant since release and they just don't seem to give enough of a damn. And I got perma banned on their forums for a few harmless trolls. Eve is always a breath of fresh air but it took ccp years to get their **** together.

The biggest thing setting gw2 back is lack of PTR and they still havent realized this.

my experiences with EVE community so far are kinda bi-polar, goes greatly with game itself I guess :)
- basically ppl tend to either be quite nice or total a-holes, rarely anything in between*
*: although personal favorites are those who are both in the same time - examples include being really nice and helpful until they blow you up at one point and laugh at your misfortune Big smile - nothing like collecting frozen corpse of poor bastard who decided to trust you after you told him not to do so Smile

I used to be stuck in my carebear mindset, nobody should ruin the fun of others.

After a while you realize this isn't how EVE Online works.

You either accept EVE and it's cruel ways or you leave thinking everyone in EVE are criminal scum irl.
You play EVE Online, you eventually deal with it, no grey area about it.

So most people staying believe in EVE as it is, something unique, as it should be, what makes EVE great.

I think that is the main reason why the community is fairly passionate about EVE staying the way it is.

at a wild guess, i'd say it's guild wars 2, and it's being held back buy the lack of a Public Test Realm (what we know as sisi, buckingham, duality, etc)
