EVE General Discussion

AAHHHH, just saw the odyssey keynote from fan-fest this year and re-subbed after a small hiatus from EVE. I log in and decide to build up my wallet a little more in anticipation for the the launch next month (and take advantage of my farming mood).

I set route to highsec so I can see my first FW agent and start some missions (figured it'd be a quick, carefree way to get back into it and regain my bearings at this time of night). Foolishly, I think I'm somewhat safe in lowsec in my shuttle and don't bother scanning gates (somewhat rusty) and get podded by a smart-bomb camp. No worries. I check to see what implants I lost and realize I lost my Snakes.. Great. I also lost Battlecruisers 5 because my training before my sub ended sent me over the clone limit and I forgot to check this before undocking as well.

Anyways, I finally get to my destination only to realize that my Standings were all but non-existent with my FW corp. I look at the logs and track down the culprit and remember what had happened. A friendly (or not so friendly) militia member had attacked a corp mate so I killed and podded him. Had I known at the time this action warranted a -75% standing loss, sending my previously highest level standing down to -4 I would not have done it. I don't really feel like spending hours grinding that standing back up so I may just leave faction warfare for good and see where It takes me.

Anyways, I just logged back on and got my ass seriously kicked. That's my welcome-back story/wake-up call.. Time to get my **** together.
