The schedule lists the devtrack sessions twice. Are these extra long sessions or simply held twice, to give us chances to look at other sessions as well?

Where i can find the schedule?

Yeah, it looks like it only works for subscribers. I'm subscribed and am having no problem watching it.

At least the recorded videos can be watched without any issues. Thanks for putting them up this fast :)

Are they made public, or for paying stream customers only?
If public, mind linking them?

skip to 1:20:00

  • New 3rd-party developers website and GitHub account (CCPgames)
  • SSO: as the fisrt feature on the new dev-website
  • CREST: delayed, slow roll-out to minimize risks, no date given.
  • API: Bugs will be fixed, maybe some small improvements, everything bigger will be CREST
  • Toolkit: Will still be available, CCPs new internal building process, allows for improvements if requested.
  • IGB: Chromium-based IGB is outdated, update very difficult, Evaluations how to solve this are underway.
  • WebGL: Widgets for 3rd-party devs are underway.

3rd-Party Dev Licence

  • Making real money with websites and apps is a problem for other CCP partners who actually pay CCP for their licensed use of CCP content.
  • ISK donations are no problem, most probably also PLEX.
  • Advertising will be most likely possible, but with some restrictions (i.e. no ads for competitors of CCP)
  • The next, and hopefully final, draft of the new dev-license should be ready in the next 30 days.

License requirements:
  1. Valid Eve Online Account
  2. Valid Mail-Address
  3. Agree to license agreement
  4. Identity validation by (credit-card) payment.

Prepare for incoming doom...

Though, if it'll work straight out, we may not need to use any conversions at all. And just use drop-in replacements. But... hm... Some features of full-blown RDBMS would probably be missing.

So the dev track was informative for you 3rd party developers or was it a let down? From the lack of posts in this thread it looks like it was a let down. What? Sad

I'm looking at this now. You actually need to skip to 1:27:00 because there's a random voiceover of an interview being conducted with the CCP HR people that completely blocks anyone from hearing CCP Seagull's opening remarks. At 1:29:00 she mentions a new website, developers.eveonline.com. You don't need me to tell you how awesome that website is right now.

I'll finish watching, but truthfully this whole CREST thing seems to be a whole lotta nothin'. It has been 5 months since this was first talked about by Seagull in the CSM summit minutes from last December, and over a year since CREST was discussed at 2012's fanfest. More smoke and mirrors from CCP. I will be shocked if there's anything concrete before September/October.

More edits to come if anything in the rest of the presentations warrants.

At 1:30:30 we hear that the 3rd Party Development license is still being worked on. "We want to enable you to be able to do cool stuff." One of these years, I guess. DUST is chewing up their resources and there is, as of yet, no release date for even beta access to any of the CREST API technology. According to CCP Seagull, "We need to get it out before we can have a roadmap."

Skip ahead to 2:20:00 to see CCP PrismX lament about how he's been tasked with looking after the Eve API (not CREST) because every 3 months they shove it off on someone else. It's pretty obvious that the API and CREST are among the lowest of low-priority projects inside CCP. PrismX's helper, CCP Nimbus, didn't even bother to show up for this presentation. A few minutes of that and..... yeah, they got nothing.

I would be pretty ticked off if I had spent good money to attend fanfest this year with the hopes of learning anything new in this area. All information and presentations on the API and CREST can be summed up in two words: underwhelming and disappointing.

Ok. Since Day 2 got pulled from twitch, and watching these feeds from twitch is rather troublesome. I have pulled Day 1 down from twitch, edited it, and uploaded it to Youtube. I will pull the videos down when the officials go up. But considering how stuff normally goes for 3rd party.. Coming Soon(tm).

DEVTRACK: Overview
Note: This is missing the front few mins due to audio issues.

DEVTRACK: Licence and policing

I was unable to get day 2, as that has been pulled from twitch. If anyone has it, let me know.
