Hi there,

My corp will be moving into Minmatar FW warfare soon. Would like a couple of pointers on location and fleets.

1. Where are the nearby hot spot systems for frigate/destroyer/cruiser fights? Discounting OMS and Tama, that is.
2. Is it better to be based deeper into Minnie/Gal space or closer to the Amarr/Caldari borders?
3. Who can I get in touch with to get my corp involved in the larger scale stuff that goes down? (Ie, to get access to mailing lists, channels, contacts so that we're aware of the larger militia fleets/invasions heading out)

Can't wait to get stuck in.

Thanks,
Teebling

1. At present, Sahtogas, Sosala, Siseide, and Eggehelende are probably best if you're looking for a fight with a decent sized Amarr force. Amamake if you want to be gangbanged by hordes of linked pirates.

2. Opinions will vary on this., a lot of people will tell you to base deep in the warzone so if that's your plan, you'll want to base in one of the Minmatar strongholds so that you're less at risk of being pushed out of system and having your assets made unavailable to you by station lockout.

3. To be perfectly honest, unless you're a real charmer, this might take a while. Gaining the trust of people enough that they'll let you into intel channels is a tall order. You might be best off just watching the militia channel and joining the fleets that pop up pretty often. If you want to try getting in with the bigger groups however, try contacting the reps of alliances like The Periphery and Defiant Legacy; as they seem to be active in the general militia and will probably welcome some new faces. Late Night Alliance, Electus Matari and Point Blank Alliance are also active but seem a little more insulated from the general militia.

Hope you have fun once you get here. Big smile

Light a cyno In Hykanima and jump your stuff straight to the station there.

That will give you a great start to FW in the middle of the Awesome.

Only really bad pvpers who can blob only or never undock without 2+ links join minmatar.

Edit: It is really a joke. More and more noob i...s join minmatar although amarr are already horribly outnumbered. And even galmil helps the minnies now in Sahtgogas. No wonder. Minnies lack co...nes

*Sigh*

Your choice exposes your true purpose, moneymoneymoney. Surely if kicking arse and taking name (bubble-gum not included) was the intent you'd opt for the underdogs ..

Either way, welcome. Have fun.

Activity is, as it always has been, focused in the pipe between HQ's. Identify the HQ's and you know where to go .. we a simple folk and like to keep our dying close to dying, rest of FW space is stabbed orbiting bodies (gross generalization Smile).

On Gal/Cal side;

Home systems to Caldari: Hykanima, Heydielies, Innia, Loes
Home systems to Gallente: Vlillirier, Nennamalia, Nisuwa, Essesier

Try roaming b/w the pipes of the systems if you want fights. So from Nisuwa to Tama. Or Nenn to Hykanima. Or Vlillrier to Loes.

I am probably biased but I think Gal/Cal side is better for pvp because the warzone is way bigger than Minnie/Amarr. And if you bring your A-game and believe you're up to the challenge, the local pirate gangs here are far more challenging than what you face in Minmatar space

re: #3. There is no Head of State for the militias who decides on this stuff. And despite what outsiders may think, there is no system for vouching new corps. The only thing you can do is take your own guys out and make friends naturally. Or try putting your diplo skills to work and see how good you are at schmoozing men online. An organization's diplo skills is what will typically decide whether you fly alone or grow into a competitive entity.
