As Crest/SSO becomes available, We, as third party developers, and security consious users, want two factor authentication.

Ideally from a number of sources, such as the google authenticator app, maybe SMS (though there's cost there) or a dedicated token, perhaps sold through your store. So those who have a phone, but don't want to pay more, can have auth.

Give a wave if you support this please Smile

I don't support it, nor do I oppose it. As long as this kind of idiocy is not imposed upon me, I simply don't care.

So long as you're using SSO, leave the authentication details to CCP Cool
I do agree that CCP needs to start looking at 2-factor authentication, but I understand they already are.

I too would like to see 2-factor auth introduced sooner rather than later.

But also believe it should be optional and up to the player if they toggle it on for an account.

The devs I spoke to at fanfest want it. It'll just take some time, and interest from players.

They could just release an algorithm and let the user generate a secret key, like the API key, and use whatever device they want.

Very happy to support this. A good "second decade" bullet point on the box. Cool

I'm implementing 2-factor authentication for VPN users at my work place; I understand there are challenges to pushing this out, but from a security perspective it's a must-have! I fully support this! And the Google Authenticator route would be my favorite method, though SMS works just as well.

I like SMS, because it's simple and supported by all mobile devises. And I prefer the one-time-per-computer auth method. I really do not want to enter more stuff every time I run eve...
