Why does the eve store hate my current country of residence?

I live in Japan.

Store does not allow us to register countries outside of the rather limited list.

Why you no take the money I try throwing at you CCP?

Well... customer service is fast. I gotta take my hat off to them.

The sad news is that the company doing e-commerce for the eve online store has no expansion plans for Asia.

We are hard out of luck.

Amazon also will not ship the item outside the US. Double bummer.

Maybe living in an isolated little country like New Zealand has its advantages. Our national Post Shops allow you to ship something to a drop location in the United States from where, for a reasonable fee, they will ship it back to NZ and deliver it to your front door. There are also third party services like this available.

Don't you guys have something like that in your countries?

Contact the support email on the store page (somewhere at the bottom). They replied instantly today and said they will be adding my country on Monday. Maybe you will have the same luck.

I cannot understand the rationale behind the idea of a store that can't send beyond a few countries. EVE players consist of players across hundreds of countries. There are literally tons of carriers that will ship bulk items quite cheaply (and expensively). Open that store to the rest of the world CCP.

As to the China-Japan comment, that is the quite literally the dumbest thing I've seen.

On Amazon - have tried. They will not ship to my country either.

Concierge services I have access to, but not one of them will accept instructions to drop-ship/ assist in purchasing a pre-ordered item.

Freight forwarders are an awesome service. Sometimes they don't always work as the seller will recognize the address and refuse to ship to the drop point.
