How often does POCO bashing happen in low sec? Is it pretty common to get your POCO's shot at and lots of turnover?

Only once have I seen every single POCO in a system in my area destroyed within 24 hours. About 11 planets so that must have been a really large operation. They were not replaced for awhile (I had to rebuild 8 installations next door).

One other system lost 3, but they were back up in 2 days.

That's all I've seen in a year in the 4 systems I use.

Depends on where they are and if someone wants the area. I tend to do it just to **** people off and try and bait fights

How hard is it to knock over a POCO anyways? Been thinking about trying but not sure how much of my time it would take up. Something that can be done solo or do I need to round up a posse? Would using something smaller than a BS make it take forever? I heard they only have a 2 hour-ish RF timer....that correct?

you're gonna want a posse, in at least tier3 (attack) battlecruisers for the DPS. Solo is possible (as it's "possible" anywhere) but it'll take you a while.

From what I recall, they have a minimum of two hour RF timer, but it's able to be set by the owner. so, if you're shooting a POCO held by US guys (and you're in the UK), keep in mind that the RF window may be at like 0300 local for you.

And they have an insane shield regen. If you dont get to it when it comes out it is full shields in like 30 minutes.


You could do it solo but its 10m shield hitpoints. I suggest bringing a few friends in 1k dps fit ships. preferably something Amarr or Domis.

The shield comment is false. I shot a poco down to to the reinforce timer, waited two days, was late by 2 or 3 hours and it had only gotten back to about 70% or so.

Also, a trio of oracles will kill one in an hour or two, even with meta 4 large guns and fittings.
