100k bounty = 300+ bounty notifications and counting

I put a 100k bounty on a guy around the time they were introduced with Retribution, and I have about 110 notifications from the past couple months about how a bounty has been claimed on him, and have about 200 deleted ones besides that.

When will I stop getting notifications?

I've... seen things you people wouldn't believe...

Could you provide us more details? My guess, and this is just a guess, this person has a large bounty added to them by others. the system will keep notifying you until the full bounty is gone.

That said, I would also file a bug/petition as I don't think this is how the bounty notices are suppose to work.

Yes, that is the reason and it is completely stupid. The notifications don't seem to stop until the character's bounty reaches zero (which some never do).

Should be first in, first out for placement and notifications.

All the bounties I've ever put on people were for the purpose of getting the notifications... the actual bounties are totally pointless

You should create an online database using these notifications.

Player habits can be tracked this way.

I love this.

Think about it. The easiest way to annoy a huge bunch of people is to
simply buy a gazillion shuttles and get exploded every minute ... ^_^

I still put bounties on people "for lulz" because notification spam doesn't stop me from playing EVE, but apparently having a bounty does.

Elaborate troll. When the new bounty system was introduced, the forum was rampant with people crying that they could no longer function in eve because their bounties made them a target. I still get that complaint from time to time.

Ugh, I get this too.

Was drunk and posted in Dodixie chat "Next person to speak in local gets a 50m bounty" just after Retrib hit.

I'm still getting mails about that one.

I would be elated if you would all add bounties on me as well. I am trying to recover my old bounty, which was much higher. Most of my bounty is from satisfied clients I have serviced (I ask for tip on bounty.)

Who can give me the highest bounty?

The highest bounty that pushes me into the top 10 will get 5x back what they added to bounty.

The guy was some random dude from The Marmite Collective who said something to the effect of daring people to bounty him in Dodixie local a few months back.

I'm not sure if his bounty pool cleared in the last few days (it's at 20,111,111.11 right now), but I'm not getting bounty notifications about him anymore. Haven't had a single new one since the last batch of 110 notifications was mass deleted.
