I just dislike the asymetical ships where one side has all the thrust from the engines and the other all the mass.

The ships that would only be able to fly in a circle..other than that the asymetrical gind of grows on me.

That Caldari one looks immense! More cross training if its a Hybrid layout.

Yes. I was not around for Trinity and I could not see anything looking over picks of the Pre-Trinity Ships.

If CCP had designed asymmetrical ships for one faction (and they would actually look nice) it would have been a very nice special and distinguishing feature - but all ships from all factions (and most being pretty ugly on top of that) gets old pretty quickly.

This is what I was after. Of course not every ship in EvE should be asymmetric. There are many good looking symmetric ships around starting from the lowly merlin to abaddon and beyound. And I do agree that the majority should be these. However having only symmetrical designs would make the visuals boring IMO, even with the minimal variation on the brige location. But I guess it's better to play safe rather than make another model you get to hear complaints about for the next few years since asymmetry can be swing and miss.

Talos wins, hands down. Caldari looks like a freight container and the Amarr looks like a bug on a windshield.

We don't like surprises. Surprises coming from CCP are almost always bad.

DID YOU SEE THAT INCURSUS?!

it sucks that we probably have to wait another 6 months before V3 is fully implemented. i was hoping to see new skins this winter.

You mean that comet? That for some reason seems to be high on the V3 list, even though it's possibly the single least popular faction frig? Wouldn't it make sense to start with the stations that EVERYONE SEES, then move on to the ships?

no, the incursus shot that follows

ah, shot was so blurry it didn't even register. Yeah, it kind of a bummer they have to make 12 or so different skins of each model before they can be released. Incursus hull variants are my 2nd favorite to fly in the game. I like the look of it, but I still have the nagging feeling that there are better things the art department could be doing... like wasn't the art department blamed recently as the reason we can't have modular POSes?

I think that is rather the point of the V3 initiative, to avoid doing exactly that. Once the basic hull and textures are done, the shader values can be manipulated quickly and easily to provide different color schemes.

Whether this will eventually be able to be manipulated by the players, or will be used to generate a variety of color schemes for each ship in advance, is anybody's guess.

I also rather suspect that part of the work done is to enable missile launcher bays to be modeled and visible as well.

A freight container full of pain, and a bug capable of eating your face off, yes.

A freight container full of pain, and ..

It´s not really pretty, admitted. The Caldari Naga has one extra mid slot though, all the others have 9 mid+low so I think that will make it quite popular.

Yes, it's about time we Amarr were able to go vertical.

...err....

That sounded completely different in my head.

I'm really disappointed with the Ascog's design. Even the Drake is more interesting to look at than that.

I seriously hope they at least have it more in the style of Tengu/Scorpion.

Oops sorry then in fact the ferox was assymetrical (the rear engines on the side wings was different back pre trinity)

CCP somehow changed them and almost no one noticed (or even less complained at forums)

I wonder if the Ascog will be a missile or rail boat...

I can't believe they picked the mentor. There were much better choices during the contest.

I can't agree with that one.

Not only was the Mentor a contest winner I believe, but we are long over due for another ship with that design concept. Currently we only have 2 frigates with this concept.

Apparently the Naga (Caldari Ship) Is Hybrid/Missle interchangable with bonuses to both.

I just want a Caldari ship that can make use of my blaster skills.
Along with the Hybrid buff, it may actually be worth flying.
