I call it, all the new BCs will be heavily respresented at the next allaince tournament.

I doubt it, their lack of tank seems to aim them at anti-capital warfare where their sig radius kinda saves them from exploding, which won't help one bit in the tournament. So the only reason they might get fielded more than average is if the points system is (purposely) messed up.

Yeah unless they class the new BCs between current BCs and BS in points this would lead them twoards heavier repsrentation.

I do hope that CCP realised that silly marketing (by taking your customers for stupid) has a tendency to backfire so they won't be constructing a points system favouring the new tier 3s. Apart from that, the previous tournament was a debacle so I would assume that they would put in every effort to give it back credibility, a bloody obvious massive showing of the new tier 3s would be detrimental to that.

Perhaps I'm being optimistic..

t3 cruisers, and tier 3 BCs, with a hint of oneiros and scimitar. And perhaps some of the improved/reworked ECM ships

Who said anything about outperformance?

Just saying the amount of points needed to field one would make it desirable to field in a team envrionment. Though I also predict these ships getting primaried alot.

If tier 3 is somewhere in the middle hmm I know what ship I'm going to pick (hint: it has t2 resists, more than 30k ehp etc).

Wrong.

Since CCP's balancing would seem to be very limited it will be a repeat of last years Eve Online interpretation if WWF Smackdown (read: arranged outcomes from start to finish) with 90% of all hulls being of the Winmatar variety .. granted the Minnie tier3 will probably see a lot of use as it will be the ultimate alpha platform (Maelstrom alpha with BC scan res!).

Beyond the tornado we will see lots of Keres as most fights will be decided by alpha in the first few seconds and damps have a guaranteed effect compared to the light gamble that is ECM.

REMOVE THE 'OVER' FROM THE PROJECTILE OVER-BUFF!

If the point-pricing for ships stays the same as quoted below, Tier 3 BCs shouldn't be too common - bar someone going for a Tornado-Alpha-Gang (TAG, hehe..) setup.

not really, however it is mostly reserved for those times you jump into a bubble camp in something larger than a cruiser, that you know will never make it out.
