I have a 680GTX and I don't believe i can run those settings. Just out of curiosity, what is the specific model monitor you are using for that resolution? I've been looking at some of the bigger resolution options out there and the 120hz thing is kind of what I am gravitating towards.

Edit: I'm a ******, you just said two titans in SLI. looooooooooooool nope, my quest ends.

2160p@120hz is impossible for now due to needing a standard beyond dual-link dvi or hdmi 1.4. However, the two best 120hz monitor imo are the Asus VG248QE or the BenQ BenQ XL2420T. Both allow good downsampling and good 120hz performance at 1080p.

As for the 680GTX, it's still a fine card, though you may run out of video ram (causing hitching) if you go crazy with the SSAA on top of a monster res.

AFAIK, EVE doesn't have an option to select a resolution @ 3840 x 2160.

These gotta be 1080p pics blown up in size.

I mean, they're nice pics, but can you show us in your EVE settings this 3840 x 2160?

Sure.

But keep in mind resolutions come from a table supplied by the graphics driver; resolutions are not inbuilt to the Eve client, beyond an import of that list.

Raising res does two things for visual quality:

1) Textures can be sceen at their highest potential. There is a limit to this, of course - eventually you enjoy the texture in its maximum native res and that's it for the texture. Interestingly, Eurogamer's Digital Foundry argued that Battlefield 3's textures were never meant for res like 2160p ("4K") and that it's quality falls off quicker than other games as you scale up. Different mileage for different titles.

2) The effect of aliasing is reduced. There is no limit to this; the more pixels, the less aliasing.

Eve does support resolutions higher than 1080p to be precise eve will show you resolutions as high as your computer can handle specially if you play on windowed full screen, you can spam eve across N monitors you might want and get some weird resolutions.

I dun eve on dual 1080p without AA tho on a 560, dual titans on sli... way outta my league.. but makes me ponder what one of those hardcore Xchipset motherboards with quad sli could do with proper liquid cooling and overclocking... http://rog.asus.com/220222013/overclocking/gtx-titan-quad-sli-rampage-iv-extreme-break-new-3dmark-11-records/

Ah, didn't know that. I guess that makes sense, other games I've played I've dicked around and tried to see if I could select resolutions higher than my monitor would support, only to get told some way my monitor wouldn't support that resolution. Figured EVE was the same.

Yes, I run 2560 x 1600 on Dell 30 Inch. It is beautiful.... I see all kinds of little things I don't notice at a lower resolution...

I think I need a bigger monitor. I couldn't even view the screenshots properly and could only saw a small portion of it at a time.

By they way, when we can expect another awesome RNK video maldodor? :)

Well... I've learnt a lot about graphics cards and setups in this thread.
