Brutor Tribe take advantage of chaos to seize Electus Matari !

Sources within the Minmatar Republic revealed to Gutter Press that the turmoil surrounding the wounding of former Republic Prime Minister, and Ray of Matar, Sebiestor Tribal Chief Karin Midular, has been used by Brutor Tribe elements to seize control of renowned pro-Republic capsuleer alliance Electus Matari !

Coup!

The sources claimed that a significant split occurred within Electus Matari, and that at least one corporation felt it necessary to remove itself from the alliance completely! This was not without further conflict, as a top official, rumoured to have been the alliance Executor, was also forced from their position!

Dramatic!

Rumours also exist of a power struggle within several corporations, and one rumour claims over 2 billion ISK of alliance capital has gone astray as a result!

Accountancy!

Former Electus Matari commander Elsebeth Rhiannon is quoted as saying: "Both Gradient and EM in Brutor hands now. Times change."

Change!

The reaction among Minmatar civilian populations has been mixed, with one hard working Sebiestor exotic dancer saying "I don't know, Brutor people have a very different approach to politics". A prosperous Sebiestor starship engineer said "hush, dear wife, I am sure that everything will work out just fine."
Brutor civilians were also concerned at these developments. "Inter-Tribal conflicts be damned! This is not what we need. What we need is action against the Amarr! Everyone should follow Malaetu's lead on this issue." said one Brutor taxi driver. "Sebiestor techno shenanigans. Krusual machinations. Vherokior wheeler-dealers. It's all nonsense. Only Brutor Strength can help us now", said a Brutor militiaman.

Conflict!

With the condition of Ray of Matar Karin Midular not expected to improve quickly, this sort of strife and chaos seems set to continue in the Republic and associated capsuleer entities!

Gutter Press will continue to keep an eye on the news that people didn't know was happening!

Rumours, Wars, Rumours of Wars, Wars of Rumours!

Oh dear gods. Big smile

Ok, facts:

One corporation (The Wild Bunch) has recently left EM to join another alliance better suited for their function and goals. While the separation was not without drama, we remain in friendly relations. One new corporation (The Halcyon Directive) has also recently joined Electus Matari.

No alliance isk is missing or out of EM's control.

Challis Drant did not "seize control" of Gradient; I made him my XO long before he became CEO and when I became unavailable he gained full control of Gradient.

The former EM alliance leader had left the position and Virgil Scipion volunteered as a candidate before the shooting in Caille. He did not "seize control" either, but was voted in by the member corporations as per normal procedure and a lengthy internal discussion seeking consensus.

I did say the quoted words, though (in my EVEgate feed, actually, as everyone can confirm). While there have been no shady dealings or assassinations of legally elected personnel involved in the power shift in GRD and EM, no doubt the changed tribal politics have affected the willingness of individuals to adjust tribal power relationships. Not that this situation is particularly novel: Rocius, who was CEO before me, was of the Brutor Tribe, and the current XO is Sebiestor.

Silly.

Everyone knows, if you did, it was all part of the Sebiestor Plot!

Is this some sort of ethnic conflict among the minmatar? That's always troubling.

M'dame Racker,

Thanks for your interest in Electus Matari.

Sadly there is a flaw in your starting assertion : it implies we are placing Brutor's interest above all. This is impossible.

As you said, Electus Matari is a pro-Republic organization. It means we defend the interest of the whole Republic and its citizens, never mind their tribes or their origins, just matter their loyalty to our faction and its ideals.

While Sebiestors consider this rule a necessity to maintain internal cohesion, it seems our Brutor brethren view it as an unfair limitation of their rights. No wonder they learned our sneaky ways (that may or may not be part of our plot) to try and find the backdoor.

Plots wrapped in schemes wrapped in conspiracies. Next you're all going to tell me that the Nefantar perpetrate shadowy plans that stretch on for centuries right under our collective noses. Or that the Thukker are capable of building entire fleets in secret and launching crippling attacks against all that represents law and order in the cluster.

That's just crazy talk. Everyone knows the Sebiestor were behind it all.
