Low sec turrets are too easily tanked problem fix proposal

There has been complaints that low sec gate turrets are too easy to destroy. I have proposal to fix this and it involves capsuleer activity.

Each low sec turret sends data to map if it is under attack. This allows capsuleers to defend turrets. You know immediately if turret is under attack somewhere in low sec and you can go and defend it. This is moment when pirates are vulnerable and easier to destroy.

Comments are welcome for my idea.

Turrets could also transmit their repair status to map. You could immediately see if there's damaged turrets somewhere in low sec and go repair it with remote repairer.

Yes it seems that gate guns cannot be destroyed. Ill then change my original idea a bit: Make low sec gate guns more powerful but destructible. This gives pirates chance to clean gate guns for gate camp. Map reveals if gate guns are under attack and attracts anti-pirate gangs. Map also reveals if gate guns are damaged and friendly capsuleer can come in and repair it.

There has been complaints that gate guns are too easily tanked and CCP has made proposal that gate guns could have fire power increasing over time. Above there is my alternative proposal for this. I don't want to see completely safe low sec. It's terrible idea.

3rd edit:

Destroyed gate guns would appear again after each downtime and there would appear occational NPC pirate gangs to gates that have no gate guns. This system would also allow travel planning. Capsuleers could see status of gate guns in map and make decision when they want to enter low sec. Gate guns are up = safer to enter.

I don't know much about low sec except it's full of pirates and other tear drinking nerds.

If you are brave enough to try to attempt to fix a gate gun even if you would be allows to... the tear drinking nerds and pirates will blow you up while your doing it. So there realy aint any other choise except to make the guns much much tougher and more powerful if you want to do something to them. And this is something in my opinion that is ok to do... cause well nothing is more juicy than a pirates or nerds cry when they loose something.

The end.

But on the serious note of thing your proposal would not have much effect on anything.

im pretty sure you cannot kill gate guns but they are easily tanked in general. i think gate guns should have a scale over time damage to keep blobs of bs from camping low sec for hours. but welcome to eve

as for gate guns sending out S.O.S we dont need more things that add server load.

just be aware that the threat of low sec gate camps is out there. and HTFU.

I personally think they should be removed all together. It is not easy to solo in low sec in a frig or cruiser as you can't do anything on the gate.

Credibility out the window and we just barely got started.

Also I don't see any immediate problem with gate guns in low sec. Why exactly do we want to make them more powerful, but destroyable? I don't see exactly what this adds to gameplay value.

I think it best you simply stop posting now. How can you even begin to suggest changes to the game, when It's quite obvious you have no clue regarding game mechanics?

They were going to do that, but then the immense flood of pirate tears on the forums swept away the proposals and CCP had to backtrack. I think it would have been implemented in inferno a year ago if it was not for that.

Howabout just make each gate come equipped with varying size turrets, some with excellent tracking and crap DPS, some with crap tracking and excellent DPS,, and some somewhere in the middle. That way the DPS can be tuned to give battleships a hard time without disallowing frigates in gate camps. The DPS should be high enough that the campers would need strong logi support even if they're orbiting with afterburners.
