Being able to go to next dev post in a thread

I've used this feature on another game forum and it's really useful to find what the devs say quickly and easilly. If a dev has posted in a thread special navigation options appear that allow you to move to the next dev post, allowing people to quickly find information posted from the source. It would be hugely useful in threads such as the racial battleships or faction battle cruisers threads that are very long, and very few dev posts.

The other games forums that I've seen this on is league of legends, if you want to check it out first hand.

edit:
I guess it just needs to be more obvious that the functionality already exists.

We already have most of what you want. Just click on the blue dev icon and it will take you to the first dev post in the thread. Clicking the same icon in a post will take you to the next dev post in that thread. Having special buttons for this would make moving backwards and between the dev posts more convenient though.

Thanks! I didn't know this. I was wondering why they hadn't implemented something like the OP explains, but they actually have!

What is missing though is the option to go to the first dev post from within the thread (when already reading it). So if you dont know where it is, and it happens to be on the 4th page, you are still clicking quite a lot before getting there.

There should be options on every page to go to a) first dev post in thread b) next dev post downwards, starting at top of this page c) next dev post upwards, starting from bottom of this page and d) last dev post in thread.

And at every dev post, the options to a) go to next dev post b) go to previous dev post.

Which makes you miss the starting entry. If you want to read that first, then go to the first dev post, you need to leave the thread again for the forum page and click there.
