With all these new ships coming out anyone else wandering what its gonna do to the next alliance tournament?...
I mean will these new BC's be used?
And will the drake finally be getting replaced by its new big brother?
What do you guys think?
I for one think that we will see quite a few of these BC's in the tournament, whether or not it will be fielded by some of the more elite tournament teams i doubt but i definitely think that these ships will be in there. I wonder if with these new ships CCP will lower the points for Battleships i not then we will truly never be seeing teams field them.

Meh.. not so much, mainly because it's for Alliances only.
It can be fun to watch some of the commentary clips though.

As I recall the final in last year's theatrical production of the AT was so bloody rigged that it wasn't even decent entertainment let alone a tournament

After last years AT final i'd rather roam cloud ring for 30+ jumps and not get pew pew rather than watch that load of crap if it's going to end up the same.

Haven't watched a tournament in years. I'm willing to give the next one a whirl though, what with the new rebalancing and all.

As every player before me, everything last year was a blast, except finals.

It mainly depends on what point values CCP assigns them, but I doubt the tier 3 BC will have much effect. Large guns and torps aren't as effective against the fast cruiser and frigate hulls often used in the AT. Buffer tanks are also very important, and glass cannons usually can't pull their own weight in the AT.

That said, we don't know what the final ship stats are going to be, so if they do something unexpected (like especially high sensor strength, or 8 mid slots, or lots of extra power grid, etc.) they could be a new AT favorite, but I don't expect it.

Of course! However, along with the many before me and the many I am sure will agree afterwords, the final did blow hard. Watching would be great crews get bought off and the shenanigans (conga line anyone) was pathetic.

I would love it if they made a CCP Bittervet AT moderator who could use the mighty hammer of AT justice on teams he thought weren't giving us good enough of a show, much like gladiator tournaments.

After watching one alliance intentionally throw the last match to the other, no I'm not looking forward to it at all.

if CCP introduce penalties for "Match Fixing" that merits a disqualification if proven then AT might be worth watchin

also CCP should create a new contest where individuals sign up and CCP assigns them to a team through a randomised system

it would force enemies in game to work with each other in a team context. Would make for even more entertainment.
