Short little story i want to share with you all.

Earlier today I sent everyone in my alliance a reminder to go out and vote in the closing hours of the CSM8 elections. Quite a few hadn't yet, so I felt good. And then I got a ping on our Jabber.

One of my corpmates in the US Army currently deployed to combat zones in Afghanistan told me he just voted with both of his still-running EVE accounts. Which he can't actually play because of where he is and their resources. But he voted.

So what's your excuse? GET OUT THERE AND VOTE!!!

All jokes and trolling aside, if one person does not equal one vote... then the whole thing is rigged from go. A guy who cannot even play, used the last few remaining accounts he had in order to equal two people, one of which does not really exist (evidently he had more then two originally and could have lopsided the vote even further if he were not deployed). Thus, large alliances will always own the CSM.

Ergo, the only reason to vote is if you are a member of a large alliance and one of your leadership is making a push for the CSM. The rest of us can go hold our yanks on election day for all the good it does us.

Would have been a better story if you said he walked though a mile of gunfire to vote.

...But you yourself are in a large nullsec alliance and a large nullsec coalition that has several members running for CSM..so who is this *us* you speak of?

BoBwins Law: As a discussion/war between two large nullsec entities grows longer, the probability of one comparing the other to BoB aproaches near certainty.

sup

Just to remind you that over the next year, I'll be putting in approximately 360,000 times more effort into improving EVE than you put into a dismissive one liner post to cover over your own ignorance and lack of involvement.

But I'm sure your mom is proud of you for speaking up in front of everybody.

That's only true if people listen to people like you. If they don't listen to you, and go out and vote, then they'll dilute the influence of the organised groups.

I note that you are a member of a big nullsec alliance.

as always totally pointless for anyone outside of large alliances.

what else is there to say?

Its a lot like modern global politics:

you vote the new guys in but theyre the same guys as the old ones.

enjoy your trips to Iceland though.

And yet they rail on saying they aren't voting but probably did vote & are just trying to convince you not to vote so thier vote is worth more UghEvil

I was going to vote, but in the end I decided not too. I started listening to the interviews which were really good, but there were too many for me to have time to listen to all of them. So in the end as I couldn't give everyone a fair hearing I decided not to vote as that way I wouldn't be diluting the voting pool with a ignorant vote.

You clearly underestimate how many alt accounts null sec minions have. Have fun though. I am looking forward to not seeing a CSM sticker on your toon.
