First things first - Not the somer variety

Does anyone else get driven a bit mad by blinking notifications?

I know you can turn it off which is fine but i do want to know something has happened just not forever. i know you can just hover the mouse over the tool bar to kill those but to kill it on a window you need to change tabs which is a big pain.

i would very much like a something like a third setting for a blinking timeout of say a minute or so.

thoughts?

On a related note, the Contracts icon used to blink and then stay lit up when there was a contract needing attention. Now it doesn't; that was one of the few useful blinks, and it's gone.

Blinking definitely needs an overhaul.

I have my toolbar set to auto-hide, so I don't care about it.
