What Drone Skills Affect Fighters and Fighter Bombers?

I am training a pure Aeon pilot and I do not think any of the drone skills affect fighters or fighter bombers, so I do not need to train any of them. Is this correct?

I'm going to be easy here and ignore suggesting skills that as prerequisites are needed to be at 5 to even learn the skills in the first place.

Fighters are only effected by the Fighter skill and Fighter Bombers are only effected by the Fighter Bomber skill.

The very sun of heaven seemed distorted when viewed through the polarising miasma welling out from this sea-soaked perversion, and twisted menace and suspense lurked leeringly in those crazily elusive angles of carven rock where a second glance shewed concavity after the first shewed convexity.

Note: This ship class is capable of carrying only fighters and fighter bombers in its drone bay.

Special Ability:
100% bonus to fighter, fighter-bomber damage and hitpoints

Amarr Carrier Skill Bonuses:
10% bonus to fighter and fighter-bomber max velocity per level
Can fit 1 additional Warfare Link module per level

Caldari Carrier Skill Bonuses:
50% bonus to Capital Energy and Shield transfer range per level
Can deploy 1 additional Fighters or Fighter Bombers per level

Role Bonuses:
Can fit Projected Electronic Counter Measures
200% bonus to Fighter or Fighter Bomber control range
Immune to all forms of Electronic Warfare

Are you sure that these actually affect fighters and fight bombers? I was under the impression that they did not.

Skills:
Drone Durability, Drone Sharpshooting, Drone Navigation.

Even if they don't, what possible excuse do you have as a carrier pilot for not having them at 5?

As a strictly Mothership only forever pilot, then ok there may be a case for it.

I'm relying on the EVEHQ property window for the info, which as already said, has been wrong before.

No Drone skill affects Fighters and Bombers except for their namesake skills.

Jack is correct, for the umpteenth time. Fighters/Fighter Bombers are not drones, they are manned fighting ships.

Only Fighters V & Fighter Bombers V will put them at their maximum.

You will need to train:
Drones to V, to unlock Drone Interfacing
Drone Interfacing to V to unlock Fighters (And qualify to train any Carrier)
Fighters to V to unlock Fighter Bombers

As others have stated, no (other) drone skills affect the performance of the Fighters or Fighter Bombers

A super carrier pilot is pretty much always a "forever pilot" as the ship can't dock. I don't know anyone who uses their super pilot for anything other than supering.

I use.
I've got a sitter char for it and I change between them pretty often. Carrier for pos repairs, dread for pos bashes, super for trolol drops. I'm in a smallish corp and we couldn't respond to a cap -> supercap escalation anyway, so it doesn't matter that I'm not in a super when we've got a dread/pos repair op.

My main has 135M SP and can fly every ship in the game, so no need to use a super pilot for that stuff.Lol

Can you dock super carriers at capital ship maintenance bays in a POS?

If so the removal of the requirement for the capital ships sov up grade will allow them to be docked at any POS with a CSMA.

Never tested this, I just assumed since the CSMA had the same prerequisites as the CSAA supers could be docked in one.

So much misinformation....

The only skills that directly affect fighters and fighter bombers are the skills 'Fighters' and 'Fighter Bombers' unless you're flying a Gallente (super)carrier. Done.

No, supers can't dock in anything. The only way to store them when not in use is log off(safely) or another character (babysitter, super holding toon). Also super carriers can not use any drones other then fighters and fighter bombers. As said before the only skills that affect damage of them is the skills, fighter bombers and fighters and gallente carrier.
