Hi there!

I'm in the planning stage of creating a an app for the IGB to handle ship replacement for my corporation and have some questions regarding functions I can use to collect information about the character connecting to the website. I have some basic knowledge about javascript, php, sql and xml but I'm far from a professional, so I'm here to ask for some help/guidance.

What I wonder is:

1) How do I collect and store the name of the character that is currently browsing the website.

2) Can I in some way make the website show all losses of said character for a specific month, and if so can I choose to only display certain shiptypes?


The idea I'm currently working with is to make a simple system that lets every member of my corp to enter the website, get a list of all reimbursable ships and a button to send request. I might also have a field where the user has to submit a link to a lossmail.

On top of this an admin interface where you can accept/deny requests, and lastly throw some statistics about tottal isk value of all accepted reimbursements, and which character is supposed to get how much isk.

If you have any ideas about how I can solve my two questions, or any ideas about how I can make the idea for the app better or easier to make/use I'm very happy to listen.
