Empty Yellow Wreck Crime

How long will take to CCP change the rule and make it rational ???
1) If you salvage one non owned wreck its ok, not crime at all
2) If you loot an not owned and non empty wreck is an light crime
3) If you shoot at an owned empty wreck is an serious crime ??? And worse, buy my calculations, its worse than if I shoot the owner, because concord comes in 1 sec at 0.5 sec.

It's not make sense, following some sugestions to fix it :

1) Make no crime at all any type of action against wrecks.
2) If you shot any non wreck the crime is the same as loot it, making you suspect allowing the owner to shot you.
3) Make a crime to loot an non owned wreck, and a suspect flag to salvage they.

They fix the pirate item inside wrecks, so I guess they are looking at it, but Its good to know some other opinions.

Obs: I know there is a lot of other topics about the same thing, but since they are not doing anything about it, I fell that we need more posts, who knows, maybe they will take more care about it.

Its a good sugestion. Also, wrecks are root of a lot of bugs and incomplete issues in the game, like, to be possible to find it using directional, but not possible to find using probes. There is a lot of things to do about wrecks.

Here is the problem I have with your OP:

You say that the mechanics behind looting, salvaging and destroying another players wrecks don't make sense. I think they do.

Stealing from a wreck flags you as suspect - Thats fine. Anything less isn't harsh eno0ugh and anything more is too harsh.

Destroying a wreck flags you as criminal - Again, it's fine. For a start, it stops highsec explorers, (who are competing in sites,) from destroying faction wrecks out of spite if they cannot beat the wrecks owner to it.
You don't think this is a good idea? If you disagree with me on this point, then you obviously have never had to race someone to finish a scout outpost...

Salvage pulls no flag - Yet again, no problem here. Salvaging is a recognised profession and wrecks may be salvaged by anyone.

As for Stan'din's suggestion to put a 30 second docking timer on ninja looters, It is not a good suggestion. Ninja looters will just warp to a safe spot, then head to a station. Even if the timer was longer, they can bounce between safe spots while they wait for the timer to run down. This suggestion achieves nothing.

I suggest you actually think about why things are how they are in future, before you declare that "They don't make sense."

How is it less rational than before? Before, if you stole from someone, it is up to them to take vengeance, which means you could take and take and take from the weak and there would be no one to stop you. In high-sec. How is that rational?

agreed, yet there are STILL some issues regarding the wrecks.

especially blue wrecks,

try lootin one => no problems at all
try salvaging one => no problem
try shootin one => oops concordoken / sentrys etc...

First of all, thanks to reply giving an explanation to your arguments.
My point is about shotting an empty wreck right ?
If you atack but not destroy an empty wreck, in my opinion you should maximum be flagued as suspect, not criminal.
This is my point here.
Today, the concord kill the agressor and gives kill right to the owner even if he is far away of the event, for me its a bug.
Kill rights should be allow to who was killed or direct atacked buy someone, I dont think wrecks should be part of it.

I just think Concord Kill intervention should just be trigged buy ship atack not itens.
You can for example, atack an wreck buy mistake, you should not be killed because of that.
If you can get the loot with out beeing killed buy concord ( flagued as suspect ) , why not do the same if you atack it but not destroy it ?

If you don't want to get concordokkened by accidentally shooting a wreck, leave your safety on green or yellow. If you attack a wreck at all, it's going to be destroyed. They have next to no HP. Maybe a noob in a noobship wouldn't be able to volley a wreck, but I've never seen one take more than one shot.
