Legion is a beast in various brawling setups, and as a super-tanky Zealot. It gets bashed because it can't compete with the tengu at general-purpose pve. Which is true. To sum up, the Legion is incredible where it's strengths are, and mediocre at everything else.

This. I trained one for nomadding around in c3s. I way prefer it to the tengu, especially since the missile nerf recently. It destroys frigates.

After the patch we're giving the market some gentle supply restriction, like tying one wrist to the bedpost loosely with soft silk rope. Just enough to make things a bit more exciting for the market, not enough to make a safeword necessary.  -Fozzie

There's plenty of reasons to train Amarr cruiser to V. Excellent recon ships and the Zealot is pretty sweet I hear. After that is just a matter of training subs which won't take long.
I really don't think it would be a waste of a train.

You can also use the Legion as a Tengu with Less DPS and Maneuverability in exchange for Higher EHP and a bit more utility.

I love my legion. Massive utility, Not a Tengu, Fires lasers, Not a Tengu, great for pve and pvp, did I mention it's not a Tengu?

Kill it with Fire!

It's generally outclassed for PvE by the Tengu sadly, it's good for Incursions though. In WHs people use armor HAM legions in fleets.

Also neut legion is one of the most brutal heavy tackle.

Kinetic only dmg bonus is crap. Ham legion would be outright superior to Tengu had it a 3rd bonus for range, like Tengu does. It's beyond me why it doesn't.

Neut sub is crap. Legion is brick, but that doesn't make neut sub itself any less lousy.

The only way you should train a legion is if you cant fly any other T3.

@OP
Legion is definitively a very good ship to use after HAMs changes and awesome armor fleets/gangs booster.

Take it or leave it but my advice to you would be to train them all, these are all awesome ships to fly and the fact having Cruiser 5 in all races opens so many ship opportunities and game options. You should really consider it.

nice ship but don't fly it solo in pvp. Its one of those ships which have far to many direct counters - a mixed group helps a lot.

how to fix eve: 1) remove ECM 2) rename dampeners to ECM 3) add new anti-drone ewar for caldari 4) give offgrid boosters ongrid combat value
