[F3RR] Possible Ancient Research Breakthrough

Miyeli - A few weeks ago, an expedition team lead by an former member of the Titanium Resolve went into a wormhole that lead to a previously occupied system. In the system contained your usual Sleeper drones and other mysterious forces. Originally, the expedition team was sent to research on the local star's magnetic field and it's influence on shield systems. However, the expedition team soon discovered a Sleeper site and extracted ordinary Sleeper artifacts from the destroyed Sleeper ships. The artifacts and other high value items were brought back to our forward operations tower in Miyeli for research. With limited funding and a recent war dec from Basic Simple, the researchers met great challenges. However, our research teams may have reached a breakthrough.

What is already known about Sleepers is that they are ancient AI constructs. They show no age, no despair. They are the guardians of the tombs of their masters, their makers, their forgers. They roam wormholes, aimlessly. Containing hints and secrets of a past once filled with glory and wealth beyond our imagination. But this information is unfortunately locked away, deep within their memory banks and structures. Away from our prying eyes.

For the past few weeks, with little success, our researchers have been working towards unlocking these secrets by examining Sleeper AI memory banks and nexuses in hopes to understand their past. The Titanium Resolve calls upon the capsuleer community for some assistance. With the proper information and knowledge, our researchers may reach a breakthrough sooner then expected. All the researchers have to work on is de-classified information released by the Arek'jaalan project, more specifically the division responsible in the research on Sleepers.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and I hope to hear from everyone.

If you are to have any hope of unraveling the mystery of the Sleepers, you must realize that they are infomorphic in nature and that they are not artificial in origin. I'm currently penning a thesis on the subject, which I'll send your way once it is complete.

I would recommend consulting with Mr Merovech and his colleagues at the Synenose Accord. They have been investigating these mysteries for years, and I am sure would welcome a discussion on your findings. Might even be grounds for a new Seyllin Conference.

You can reference all of the findings and discussions of the Seyllin conference on the public Synenose Accord site, here.

I regularly deal with large quantities of ancient salvage, and can easily obtain significant amounts of computational data and storage devices (so called 'blue loot'). I am sure that if a financial arrangement can be arrived at, I can spare a quantity of these artifacts for your historical research purposes instead of manufacturing and product development pursued by my usual customers.

Personally, business opportunities aside, I have a small amount of research work available from my time spent administrating salvage operations in a variety of wormholes from class 2 to class 6. Of note would be the implied relationship between Talocan derelict vessels and Sleeper drones due to the need for Talocan vessel artifacts and subsystems for research into devices we construct with sleeper components.

For more information, please drop me a mail stating whether you are interested in business, discussion or both.

Thank you everyone for your help and information I'll be sure to look it all over this week and pass it off to my researchers.

Considering I have Sleeper tech stuck in my head, I could possibly assist in research, if that is still needed.

I apologize for splitting hairs General Soter, but I did not accrue five PhDs and one MD to be called "Mister." Anyway, I think convening another Seyllin Conference would be a brilliant idea. I propose we set a date as soon as everyone can be ready.

I would be quite interested to hear the results of your findings! Be great to help in any way of course. But sadly I have only begun to grasp the vast knowledge of the sleepers at the university. Perhaps someday I will be out there in vast unknown regions helping expand our knowledge of the unknowns….

Its been suggested already but I would certainly suggest you get into contact with members of the Shnenose Accord. Please either contact Warrant Officer Merovech or Warrant Officer Tykari. As well review publicaly available information on our Galnet page.

I look forward to hearing more about this.
