Hey All,
Not sure if this is the right forum but it seemed to be he best fit for my request. Recently been running Caldari COSMOS missions on my Indie alt to be able to put up a POS in high sec. I ran around 20-30 Caldari mission getting my Caldari faction from 5.01 to just under 7 and noticed that through all these Caldari missions my Amarr standing didnt see any derived gain. Nothing since last year (when I was running COSMOS missions last). I figured maybe it was changed in that COSMOS missions wont give derived standings any more but I just started running storyline mission to get that last little boost over 7.0 faction standing and realized that those arent giving Amarr derived faction boosts either.

Now I have done all the normal stuff (IE Clear cache, reboot etc etc) and petitioned it but was wondering if some nice person who has done any faction missions in the last couple of days could look and see if they have gotten a corresponding boost to the allied faction (Caldari/Amarr or Gal/Minnie). I am curious if its just me that isnt getting the derived gain or if this is some new feature/nerf that I either 1) missed the patch notes on or 2) was stealth nerfed. I also vaguely remember (or might have just imagined it) some change to standings increases 8-10 months ago but I cant seem to find any reference to what it was.

I'm still getting derived boosts. Might have to petition it.

IIRC the maximum derived standing for Amarr from Caldari is 7.0. So if you are already at 7.0 with Amarr, running SLs for Caldari won't help. You'll have to run SLs for Amarr, or, easier, train... one of the social skills, I forget which. Not Diplo.

But wouldnt I recieve derived benefits from 5.0 until 7.0 (I have not yet attained 7.0...I am at 6.95)? I was really convinced this was a new feature but as someone said above that they are still getting derived standings increases I am guessing somehow my account is borked. Guess will just have to wait for the petition to be answered (unless I die of old age first LOL)

EDIT: Also when they do finally answer my petition I have no idea how they would fix this....hehe I just picture some poor DEV having to break out a calculator and add up the 30-ish odd missions with random increases ranging from .55% to 6.0% cal faction increases and then figure out of should be derived from it hehe.

Looks like Amarr derived gains from Caldari stop at 5.0. (Or I'm reading the chart wrong.)

Yes it's all about the derived standings.

You can run an infinite amount a caladari storylines, but they will not raise your Amarr standing above 5.0.

Note that Amarr storylines can raise caldari standing up 7.0

just the way CCP choose to implement.

The last 3 poster are indeed correct. This was all me misunderstanding the way that derived standings work . I didnt realize that derived would actually stop at a certain level. In relation to my issue my Amarr standing was in fact 5.05 when I started running Caldari missions and that is why it wasnt going up. Thank you for all the above posters for helping me realize my mistake.

Sorry for the delayed reply, I am here to announce that you can get with the game by joining a well established player run corporation, no longer will you need to earn isk or put officer mod items on your tier 2 battleship, no you can fight in a rifer and risk nothing, with little or no monetary reward for some huge megacorporate Alliance! No one will even remember your name, doesn't this sound like thee most rewarding experience ever?

Someone is just being allergic to any thoughts of corporate culture, and mentioning POSes called some associations with it I suppose.

While we are at it, why on earth Rifters? I though that newbro-style light tackle is performed with other frigs now by most people.
