isn't spam technically any unsolicited mail? Kinda weird. Don't think I'm gonna vote in this one anyway. Too much work to sift through all the crap and troll candidates.

That's 4 letters for a single course of events and you complain about one letter a year from CCP.

the difference is: CCP letter came into Inbox while these 4 mails you mentioned are getting into notifications.

I have "When notifications are received" all disabled so i don't care about loss-mails.

1 message a year is not much of a spam anyway

Any way for those of us wishes to opt-out on getting this kind of nonsense? The only time I have ever considered the CSM to be relevant was to bash some ******* reality into the CCP's collective of supreme daftness during monoclegate and the $1000 designer jeans debacle.

I understand this is very important to some of you but to me, EVE is just that, a game and I really have no interest in the CSM.

I kill kittens, and puppies and bunnies. I maim toddlers and teens and then more.

Actually, in the interest of getting votes out, I'd be in favour of CCP sending out another mail when the elections only have 48hrs left 'til closing - though, if at all possible, I'd prefer it if they didn't mail people who've actually voted.

I suspect that a lot of potential first-time voters will read the mail and say, 'yeah, later...', then never get around to it. A gentle reminder would, I think, be a good idea.

Yes because getting the tag CCP in-front of your name, gives you special powers to be able to read peoples minds and figure out why they did unsubscribe.

Or for that matter super powers just to read the 'Why are You unsubbing' section on the people who actually cancel the subscription and not jump out the window half way through.

To make a better game CCP needs feedback from its players, not whiny little dummy spits.

Of course sending unsolicited mail to 250,000 accounts is spam. If i sent out mail to everyone it would be spam. If i sent out mail to everyone telling them to vote it would still be spam. The mass mailing of unsolicited crap is what makes it spam.

Seeing as we don't have an option to vote against the CSM and voter turn out is likely to be less than 50% all this crying about how important the CSM is falls flat.

That said i voted the goon roster x7 just on the hope that someone from high sec will die ever so slightly inside.
