Greetings everyone.

I recently resubscribed to the game. My main character is participating in FW and I consider it as my combat pilot. Im interested in making a second account. What I would like to ask you guys is, what would "synergize" well with a combat pilot? Im not really sure about the other career paths. I would like your opinion, if you had a combat pilot, what would you make as a second character?

Thank you in advance, and have a pleasant day.

Logi to rep your pvper or off grid booster/scout to support him in not so obvious manner? Or beloved falcon to gag them while you frakk them?
Or something to fund him (but he is in FW so it should fund itself) so PVE (missions, exploration, incursions) or industrial/trading?
Or another pvp toon for double the pleasure of your targets?

I assume you mean for income, in which case whatever you like doing!

But in FW you won't need to worry about that (Unless you join the Amarr).

If you don't know why you need an alt, do you really need an alt?

Thanks for the replies :)

"If you don't know why you need an alt, do you really need an alt?"

That does seem a good point. But I would like to enjoy the other aspects of the game (and I still want to have my main focused on FW). I guess the ideal profession would be something like "passive income", is that possible?

Exploration seems to be interesting aswell. What kind of skills would it require, and how long it would take to train him to decent level?

I dont really want to run the alt with my main as duo either. I really appreciate the replies. Keep them coming if you have something in mind, I will explore all the options.

Quoting the important part.

Don't make an alt just because everybody else has one.

Make an alt when you know that you need a 2nd account/character online to do "x" when that isn't possible with a single account.

Exploration.

Much appreciated. Exploration is totally unknown for me. So the question arises how much skillpoints would you need as a exploration pilot to... well lets say do the difficult complexes? I hope this makes any sense.

Thank you again.

There is only one skill you need to get into anything Eve has to offer: Search Button Specialization.

Depends entirely. Sites range in difficulty from hisec to nullsec and whether they're profession sites (radar, mag, etc) or combat sites (unknown). I'm not even going to get into wormholes because that's another, more complicated, beast entirely.

Hisec radars sometimes don't even have rats, and when they do, they can be killed easily in a t1 frigate. Nullsec 10/10s, by contrast, generally need multiple well-skilled pilots in battleships or other very expensive (possibly faction) ships.

Well don't just start a new account and start training exploration without trying it first.

Do the tutorial, and you will either love it or hate it.

Also, you might want to wait 2 weeks for fanfest announcements, as it may well be changing a whole lot.
