Command ship for solo c3?

Hello,
I would like to ask somebody with some experience in WH if a Command ship would be a good ship to try solo C3.
Before giving me an answer, think that:

1- I am looking for a ship which is cheaper than a t3
2- I have decent skills, I use a Myrm to run C2 but it is ineffective and (drone) painful in some sites

I made a fitting in Eve HQ which gives me a DPS of 277 and a Tank ability of 206 with a ABSOLUTION.
I am not sure if it would work, values seems pretty low but the idea is to have just salvager drones and no ammos,
but before buying the ship I would like to know:

1- Are Command ship good for solo c3?
2- Are there any other CS better than ABSOLUTION for solo c3?
3- A BS, might be a better/cheaper option?

Thank you for your time,

Regards,

I think a Nighthawk can solo C3s with ease.

a sleipnir is also ok. you will have to fiddle with the fit but it should be doable. also, don't forget battleships.

I should buy an Ishtar.

Confirmed.

As has been mentioned, Sleipnir is an old trusty but rusty standby.

Domi's, Ravens, and Maels can also run them handily.

why use a NH when a drake can do them with only slightly lower performance for a fraction of the price. If you're going to use a CS, go for Sleip.

Agreed. In a C3 you'll get gankers flying around quite commonly. Cheaper and lighter is better as much as possible, so you can get away if needed, and doesn't hurt your wallet as much if you can't.

Assuming Amarr is your preference (obviously skilled for the abso) there is little reason to not use a Legion, which is sufficent even with a cheap T2 fit (fit right ofc).

The abso is not great at active tanking, and falls significantly short of the Legions optimal range. Considering the amount of time you'll spend burning toward webbing BSs', the Legion is a better bet over the abso. By the time you pimp an abso to reach anywhere near the Legions stats, you will be sailing over the T3 price tag and will still rely on prohibitively lengthy prop mod usuage to get into optimal range to apply the abso's awesome DPS. You state a DPS of 277. That is not awesome abso DPS :P

An Oracle with a pocket Auguror should be sufficient for the easier sites, but that comes with the caveat of T2 Large lasers and an alt (albeit a low SP one).
Sleipnir is a brilliant ship, but its range is a little lacking, and with the current low, low prices of T3's, a Sleip costs nearly as much anyway.

In all honesty, either go for a T3 or just stick with a Drake. There's no point in doing it halfway, you're going to end up in a T3 eventually anyway.

i have used sleipnir/720 and astarte/250. they both work very well. sleip is a little bit faster.
have also used a solo dualweb/100mn loki+assigned fighters, that was also nice :D
