Release Items Glitch?

When ever i visit Jita i always have the option at the bottom of the screen near the rent office button that says Release Items.

Now i know what release items does because it says something about releasing items due to an unpaid office rental bill.

Problem is I only have a small corp and never had an office in jita to begin with because i couldn't afford it.

But now every time im in jita it wants me to pay something like 1.1 Billion Isk Shocked to release items i never had in the first place.

Do the NPC's try to scam you too or something?

Im not paying 1.1 billion isk to release no items....

There was nothing there because i never had an office. This is just weird lol Ugh

Did someone who was in your corp delete a Character while he was in the corp and had items in that station Question

It is only worth doing if you know what the items are and if they are worth more than the fee. Just ignore it. But you should be able to view any items in the impound area of your corp details I believe.

The list of impounded items should be visible in your corporation window under assets (impounded)
Check to see if it is worth paying the fee.
I believe the impound fee is a fraction of the cost of renting an office.

Thanks I didn't realize you could view your impounded items like that.I check and in Jita it is just some guys rookie ship. Glad i didn't pay a billion isk for that lol.

But why does a deleted characters items automatically get impounded at a station? Why are these items not just deleted along with the character?

Is this why no big corps take trial pilots lol?
