The Dominix is an ugly blob that could have been scribbled together in 5 minutes by a 9th grader.

Its about time for a model that's worthy of the Eve graphics. Hope it lives up to expectations.

*Grabs his Harpoon* Kill all space shoes!!! The Domi is a shapeless lump, so much so that everyone sees something different when they look at it. I would rather see a ship instead of a potato, or a shoe or a whale or what ever one might see when they look at it.

It's iconic, it's fine, its texturing is fine too. CCP, don't touch it or I'll grab a plane to Iceland and **** on your doormat!

I'll have to disagree. The Dominix is not iconic. It seems everyone is getting to the point that just because a ship is in eve it's labeled iconic. It's getting out of hand.

I'll have to disagree. The Dominix is not iconic. It seems everyone is getting to the point that just because a ship is in eve it's labeled iconic. It's getting out of hand.


Some ships ARE iconic, here's some other BS like that

Megathron (I'm not a fan of what they did to it, it feels out of proportion and weirdly balanced)
Armageddon
Typhoon
Tempest

Those should stay untouched, it's fine to give them a slight overhaul and update them but a complete redo (like they did to the Scorpion, that thing is a god awful transformer Michael Bay **** thing). Note that I'm not saying that they're good looking, not at all, but they have character and that's what matters.

Frankly the Atlas could replace the dominix. It would change from the Spacewhale to the "Spacewheel" or the "Spacetop" or "Tirelock"... etc.

But by far.. the Naru would do.. it would REALLY do for a new Dominix. Just tint it green.

Why would a corporation not update it's designs? Just for nostalgia's sake?

God forbid you prefer to drive a 70's RX-7 over a 2002 RX-7 Spirit Type R.

New design has been coming for ages. I'm glad they're finally getting around to it.


That would be nice if they implemented that but that would mean that dominix' that have allready been build should be keeping its current appearance and only new build ones get the new appearance.

I like how the Naru design, despite being listed as part of the Create a Starship contest, includes stats from a Yamato-class Imperial Japanese battleship. Given that, I wouldn't be entirely surprised if the visual design is also...borrowed (it does appear to have conventional gun turrets, rather than EVE ones).

rename Dominix to Naru (or what is this thing name?) and i'm ok with it.

New model -> new name. Don't make good old known name be tainted by "new modern" anime design
