Make mining more marvelous

Right now, mining is a bit boring.
Warp into a belt, scan for astroids, target and laser them. then sit there for a few minutes till said asteriod "ploped" away. O yeah sometimes a belt rat shows up and tries to annoy with attacks, ecm or just standing on 50km.

So my idea of making mining more interessting has a few points:

1. Better graphic presentation of the ammount of minerals left in an asteroid:
At the moment it is like this: The bigger the Asteroid the more "startvalue" he has. But over time miners munch him away and the asteroid, big as a ten hulks, has only 100 or 200 units left.
So why not let the asteroid crumble apart, literally

2. Ringbelts vs. Lagrangebelts
The belts look like Lagrangepoint asteroid dumpster. That would a least explain the daily refreshing.
I have never really seen a ringbelt in game (like Jupiters or Saturns). I know such big belts are HUGE compare to normal L-point belts, but it would be nice if we could at least see and travel to them. Mining there would be like heaven.
To much minerals for the market? No problem. No daily refresh, a once a year refresh for the ringbelt + rock asteroids with no valubale minerals.

3. Claims
The good old claim. This idea really only works with ringbelts and sectors. Take a ringbelt, put the year-ammount of minerals of four to six dailyrefreshing L-pointbelts into it and let it only refresh once a year. then cut it in 12 or so sectors to claim like moons. miners are happy for the huge centralized miningground and single players have there L-pointbelts for themself.

4. Minerals, metal and alloys
Minerals are nice and such, but the poor construction faciltiy has to make metal and alloys out of it. Time is money, so why not let the players handel this boring work (and let them add a few zeros to the result).

Think about it: asteroids slowly crumble apart, ringbelts with claimhubs, fighting zones full of asteroids, miningcorps taking arms for a better claim and crafting (woo everone loves crafting) metal and allyos.
