.1125*3 (11.25% boost per mining forman link II modual x 3 moduals)=.3375 or 33.75% boost to mining ships in squad

.3375x3=1.0125 or 100.125%

meaning you need orca + 3 mining ships or 4 accounts total to be getting 1.25% more boost than you would using 4 mining ships by them selves....

so 4 accounts any less your wasting your time



You know how I keep saying "You're bad at math"?

This is what I'm talking about. Here, let me fix your **** ups.

Step by step:

The base is 2.5%. Mining director 5 will give us a 400% bonus

2.5 * 5 (or 400%) = 12.5%

Warfare link specialist will give us a an additional 50%:

12.5% * 1.5 = 18.75

Ind. Comm will give us another 15%

18.75% * 1.15 = 21.5625%

And our implant will add 50% for a total of 21.5625 * 1.5 = 32.34375%.

That's the duration bonus - not the 33.75% you came up with, math pro.




You're making two further errors.

The first, and most important:

You are multiplying the yield by 1+bonus to get the bonused yield.

This is wrong. Wrong. Wrong. WROOOOOOOONG.

It is a DURATION bonus, so the calculation is:

BonusedYieldPerMinute = BaseYieldPerMinute / (1-bonus)

Which, in this case, comes out to:
BaseYield / (0.6766)

A 32.34% bonus to DURATION is, mathematically, a 47.8% bonus to YIELD. You're treating it like it is a direct bonus to yield, but it isn't.

The second thing you are doing incorrectly is ignoring the fact that the leadership bonus and the link bonus stack multiplicatively. We're still getting another 15% bonus from the Mining foreman skill replacement value of the mining foreman mindlink.

So our aggregate bonus to strip miner yield per minute is 1.15 * 1.478 = 1.6997.

In conclusion:
