I have refinery V and refinery efficiency V - why am I only getting 78% yield when processing ice?

Ice Processing is used for refining Ice. So you just need another skill.

your not doing it at a 50% station. Plus you are likely lacking the standings with the station owners. refining and refining efficiency to 5 alone will put your base refine at 99.5% in a 50% station. then you lose a portion to tax/we take if your standings with the station owner is low.

However, ICE refining skill to 5 and a refining implant should get you very close to 100% even at a 35% refining facility.

There is no way you should be getting 78% even without Ice Processing 1.

Yield = 50% facilities + 37.5% base * (1 + Refinery 5 * 2%) * (1 + Refinery Efficiency * 4%) = 99.5%

You'd have to be using a station with 28.5% facilities, which doesn't exist.

Check your numbers, especially the amounts in the "Unrecoverable" column ("We Keep" is the standing tax column).

Did you not train the Ice processing skill? You should only need to train it 1 or 2 levels for perfect ice refining.

Also you need to be more specific about where the waste is involved. There is unrecoverable, and there is the corp "we take" loss. Unrecoverable is based on skills, "We take" is based on standings.

My guess is you didn't train the ice processing skill though.
