Timeouts to api

Hi,

I'm running a scheduled task once an hour to fetch new api's added to a list. This task only does anything if there are new api's on the list and it only calls APIKeyInfo for each new api not for existing ones. I'm using Ale to do the fetch and the results are being cached too.

Trouble is this has been reporting "couldn't connect to host" quite a lot - I've been using the https site. Is anyone else seeing this ?

All the time. At least with yapeal it will try again in a few minutes.

Heh ... at least I'm not doing anything wrong ... I've been looking at Yapeal and it looks really good but it is missing one crucial thing for my purpose ... an id field for the api key :)

Not sure what you mean by Yapeal doesn't have ID field for key as it using keyID, characterID, corporationID etc where needed. Now often they are renamed as ownerID in the different API tables to make it easier and less likely to conflict with stuff from CCP but they are there where needed.

Ignore me ... I was being dense ... I wanted a field in the key table to use as a foreign key in a table of my own. Assuming the keyID field is unique then I can use that. Though to be honest this is rather a big assumption to be making - keyID,vCode is going to be unique but I can't use that as a reference in another table - well I could but then I'm duplicating the data :)

keyID will be unique since it comes from CCP but not a good idea to combine with vCode because the owner can change that. Youshould notice keyID is used as primary key in several tables so it is unique. It's much like itemID in Eve it doesn't change for the life of the object that's something CCP insures and is unique.
