k so i wanted to start with a question that hopefully, fingers crossed can be answered by a CCP Dev...

Q: is it possible to tie 2 mission agents (highsec/lowsec/nullsec) together so that both can give a separate mission that leads to the same deadspace area?

Reasoning is many hisec missions as i remember them to be (and as they havent changed) are always warp to location, kill stuff at location, grab item that drops / dont grab item that doesnt drop, deliver item / message that job is complete, get reward.

CCP Seagull has recently discussed the way players create content by sheer proximity with each other, and that from a design standpoint Eve Online breaks the mould typically from other MMORPGs by surrendering more of the content created from scratch to players to create content naturally by this method.

one of the ways i can envisage this working in terms of high sec mission running is to have 2+ players in the mission complex with at least 1 on each side. but to not actively warn that this is about to occur. these 2 teams/players could be engaged in a limited engagement with each other (but will ruin the surprise -,-)

player to player interaction is in game already even in mission deadspace.

probe out mission runner, land in his area.

What you do from here on you.

Make the prober cloaky CO to be a warp in for the gank ship(s)

If mission runner is using smarties, surprise him with the wtf just happnened as said cloaky is aggro'd out the blue (aoe in empire is bad)

Or clean the room. Either you clean em out or the tard shoots at you and well its hope he is full bore tard and still in the deadspace when you come back with the real ship (and in talking with baiters....this can happen quite a bit lol).

TL;DR....probe out the mission runner and bait or go for gank. Its not ccp's place to force feed bear kills. Many patches ago they made scanning/probing much easier to get into. Even cleaned up the actual mechanics of probing (pre apocrypha/dominion I hear it was more complicated) . CCP hooked mission runner hunters enough as is. Even killed off unprobable....even the sneaky t3's can be found if you take the steps to find them (ie. buy virtues).

yahh i know about the scanning / ganking / ninja salvaging and former loot aggro mechanics designed to kill mission runners. what im saying is combine missions so that you have an attack / defend force that players are added to to mix the monotony up. the players would be able to engage without concord or navy intervention as theyd be participating in the defence or attack of materials owned by a faction, be it the major 4 or pirate factions.

Essentially theyd hold temporary "hired by x" status with possible players on the other side temporarily as "hired by y", where x is at war with y.

it's a nice idea. but it would have to be something that is held separate from standard missions otherwise you are forcing players into what would be considered consensual pvp.

there would also have to be some planning into what would happen to the losing side etc.

10/10

Mission rewards would have to be adjusted upward by... around 1000x to make your idea viable economically. Would make things interesting, thus high troll scale rating.P

yahh u know... sod 10mil per mission, there might be someone that might warp in to me and kill me out of the 1000's of other missions taking place. best make that 10 million isk 10 Billion instead.

well trolled bro, well trolled.

Your trolling is serious?Lol

Lose your boat every mission = mission has to pay for boat and then some. Or is that too complicated? Except no amount of bils would be enough, because Eve would soon be swamped with isk and out of minerals.Roll
