Eve General Discussion Forum Summary, Fall 2011

Hello, I'm new here. I started reading the General Discussion channel to get acquainted. Here’s a summary of what I’ve learned over the last few weeks so other newbs can come up to speed:

1. Using PLEX does not hurt CCP’s intake cash flow. Thinking it does so makes you bad.
2. Goons are bad, awesome, ruining the game, saving the game and post on here a lot.
3. Tears are the primary currency of Eve. Then comes ISK and lastly comes something named AUR. I’m not sure what that last one is but from what I’ve read here it’s mainly for people with bad eyesight.
4. The winter expansion is either the second coming of the savior, or a massive CCP troll. Can’t tell which.
5. High sec is where players are making money now that null sec and low sec have become overrun, so high sec must be changed so that no one is happy. This rule seems to apply to everything in Eve -- if it’s good, change it until it’s bad. If it’s bad, don’t touch it for years.
6. Miners can’t fit tanks and gankers get too much insurance.
7. The CSM is a puppet regime so long as there are people on the council you don’t like.
8. FiS > WiS.
9. Someone named Hilmar or something like that seems to be the cause of everyone’s troubles and he quite often apologizes for it.
10. Suicide gankers don’t leave suicide notes.

I’ll keep you updated as I learn more.
