Which there is a good chance that at least half of them don't fire anymore and I believe most don't have the range to hit Seoul. The media love to rant on about how North Korea is this ticking bomb waiting to go off and how loads of lives could be lost at the whim of Kim Jong Un, it's mostly just media hype and scaremongering. If North Korea kicks off and starts a war China has a lot to lose and as such I'd be surprised if they didn't sort it out themselves, after all they don't want US forces anywhere near them, they don't want an influx of refugees pouring over their borders. Heck, if China stays out of the whole ordeal it still would be over so quickly as North Korea is already ****** without having an active war on it's hands. I say active as what they have now is nothing more than beating it's chest.

Sad part is that there is nothing comparable to it to this day apart from Falcon 4.0 Alied Force.

I played the living hell out of Aces of the Pacific back in those days. Wouldn't a Corsair or Bearcat be a bit more fitting for Korea war ?

I'd like to apologize for the poor quality of the post above and sincerely hope you didn't waste your time reading it. Yes, I do feel bad about it.

I'd say the most iconic fighter that fought over Korea would be the F-86 Sabre, which is arguably one of the most beautiful fighters ever made.

And speaking of the F-86, that brings back memorys of another old game called MiG Alley

I like the look of its counterpart the MiG-15.

Picture of Sabre and MiG flying side by side.

They look very similar.

I tend to turn to the register for my news - seeing how i like it techy and all.

and they have a nice little piece on this today.

As the poster above pointed out - the nuclear threat 'seems' to be minimal compared to the 'theoretical' 1/2 million shells an hour they could pour into Seoul in the current state. The man in the register is wrong in areas youll spot easily but his points hold true anyway, its a desperate nation and has been for a long time as we all know. What would get the worlds attention ? How about decapitating a large part of its luxury, and thats not just South Korea in easy reach here for that one.

Mr Reg man mentions the parking lot for all major nations - and we all know the nation that simply will not have that, ever.

I dunno - this ones different and i wonder if a plan has come up myself that in metaphor would be the naughty child that sends Mum and Dad to the kitchen watching them close the door behind them.

I have no idea what purpose it would serve other than some weird Pol Pot alike slaughter and i have an overactive imagination at the best of times.

Thinning the crowd to retake the South ?

Well if we're talking some of the most beautiful military aircraft of the cold war era, I'd suggest the AVRO Vulcan and the English Electric Lightning. I don't think either saw service in Korea though, I understand the Lightning is the only Military Aircraft that managed to overtake Concorde on a stern intercept during a Nato exercise just before its retirement, it was up against F-15 Eagles, F-16 Falcons, F-14 Tomcats, Mirages, and F-104 Starfighters all trying to do the same thing, the Vulcan has the (mythological?) reputation of outmaneuvering F-15s in joint exercises.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.
