I mine so you can have the fuel to run your POS.

Have you thanked a miner today?

no, see, it's funny right? but it was EPIC watching it during the first airing of the episode. we just knew history was being written right before our eyes

right up there with staying up all night to play Portal on release day, and hearing the song during the credits "this is a triumph.."

sometimes, you just know

Anytime I watch Monty Python, I think of "The Hitichhiker's Guide to The Galaxy". Is that odd?

Graham Chapman wrote stuff with Douglas Adams way before Monty Python, so there is that.

Fish seems kind of expensive in the market. $7.99/lb., $8.99/lb. But it's really a deal compared to red meat. You're not buying much inedible stuff, like fat, big bones or injected water. And you don't have to buy much-- small amounts of it are really filling.

Oh my, let's not bring up the price of really good cheese. I've seen artisanal Italians going for $45.00/lb Shocked

Sounds like something that would be sold at this new organic shop in downtown that I keep hearing about. Everyone I talk to keeps raving about the selection they carry but it sounds like my usual $50 grocery limit would be more like $300.

I did not know that. Learn something new everyday. Lol

Surrender is still your slightly less painful option.

this is highly true where i live in the upper midwest. well, seafood at least. crab and lobster are more precious than gold. ok. maybe that's an exaggeration. but you take my meaning. fish like mahi mahi, sea bass or swordfish are around $17-22 a pound usually. more common oceanic fish, like tuna or snapper, are still pretty pricey.

the only fish that's relatively cheap are the garden variety freshwater fish we have locally. either caught or farmed. catfish, tilapia, rainbow trout. and minnesota's own beloved walleye. however walleye can also be pretty spendy depending on time of year.

So much of it is regional. Here in Florida, there are cheap grouper fish sandwiches. But in San Fran, I couldn't find it outside of the $32 entree business.
