Drones attack while I'm jammed

This doesn't always work.

Some scenarios result in the drones wildly orbiting me instead of attacking an NPC thats shooting me. For example: If I get jammed before I get my drones out the drones don't respond. There are other situations in which you get attacked, then deploy your drones, and the drones won't respond to the attack because it started before they were released. Even if the jamming stops the drones have to be told to start the attack at which point they will pick their targets and do their job properly.

Summary: Fix the drone aggression process. Drones should ALWAYS initiate an attack on valid targets in whatever order their little brains tell them to. Even if they had just been released.

The drone AI has always been simple-minded....

Drones will only aggress when ordered to attack, or when responding to a NEW act of aggression (assuming aggressive setting).

The rules change when telling a drone to Assist a fleet mate (then they only attack when that fleet mate commits a new act of aggression.

And telling a drone to defend a fleet mate sets them off attacking things right away.

Also note, a drone will only start attacking a target within drone control range of your ship, although it will continue attacking that target until the drone decides it doesn't want to anymore.

Drone AI is so advanced that sometimes, they just decide to give you the finger.

Make it idiot-proof and someone will make a better idiot.
