Hello.

I've recently brought EVE Online, after playing around with the trial for a week or so.
This seems like a good game- Somewhat reminiscent of Freelancer, the game that sucked away most of my younger teenage years. (I forever curse Microsoft for taking down the Global Hosting Server...)

I've picked up a few things in the last week or so - Nullsec space = fun = ohgodhowdididiesoquick.
Kidding. I think.
But seriously, I've come to realize that as complex as this game is, it is probably going to be a bit of a drag, and a waste of money each month, if I keep playing on my own.

So that leads me to my point;
I want to join a Corporation.

A few things about me:
I'm based in New Zealand (GMT +/- 12/13 Timezone)
I'm a Law Student.
I have some decent MMORPG Experience, but I enter this game with an open mind.
I've sampled the different career paths. I so far prefer combat-based roles, but am indifferent enough to be able to adjust to wherever I'm needed. No matter which role I am put in, however, I will need to be taught pretty much from the ground up; Experience tells me that Tutorials count for little as far as knowledge goes.

Oh, and I have a microphone with Teamspeak 3 installed.

Just to be clear from the get-go, my real-life commitments come first.
That means if I have an assignment due, or I need to spend time with my Girlfriend, then those things come first, no hesitation. If that type of thing is going to be an issue for potential Corporation Leaders/Officers, then don't bother contacting me.

Having said that, I have a decent grasp of time-management skills (About a level 3. Lol?), so I'm fairly confident I can commit to a corporation on a moderate level. Just be aware of my timezone as well, for when you invite me to Corp events that happen to be 3am on a Wednesday morning for me.

What else can I say?

I have a sense of humor, and will often play with a beer on my desk, or some other drink.
As much as I can fool around and be stupid, at the same time I also enjoy intelligent discussion about real-life events, and such things. One of the big things I'm looking for in joining a Corp is actually socializing with other human beings; If I wanted to talk to robot-personalities all day, I'd stick to the Agent missions.

I can't think of much else at the moment.

If you want any more information, feel free to ask below, or send me a message in-game.

G'Day Alexander

Kangaroo Ate my baby is a corporation looking to expand... being part of the HBC we always have pvp around where we are... we visit people, and people visit us :)

being part of a new alliance does limit what we are able to offer, but we are able to offer you pvp, from small gang stuff, to blob warfare... and everything in between. we have several people whom love training up new pvp pilots as well...

contact me, or just join our recruitment channel 'roopub'...

note, i do work normal sydney business hours, but my members are Friendly in the pub channel, and evegate allows me to return mails

more information can be found at this following link

while most of the corp are Aussies... we do have a couple of kewi's that call ROO home (granted they live in Auz, but they are from New Zealand)

cheers

Hey, thanks for the reply!

I'll jump on that chat channel when I'm on next time, probably later on tonight, and hope to learn a few more things about your Corp.

Welcome to EVE!

I will admit i rarely reply to threads like these, but your caught my attention for several reasons. Especially the part with normally having a beer or some beverage on your desk combined with being interested in actually talking about non EVE stuff once in a while Lol

Instead of writing a long explanation here i will leave a link to our official forum post, and if you have the patience to read over my wall off text you can stop by our public channel or just contact one of our recruiters directly and we can go from there.

I wish you the best of luck and hope you will find what your looking for Smile
