help with incursus fit

Incursus, pvp

3 x light ion blaster II, faction antimatter

meta cap booster, 200's
meta scram
meta AB

EANM II
SAR II
mag stab II
meta DC

overclocker
2 x trimarks

I'm trying to learn pvp. If I could stop button mashing and mind my range a bit more I would have a couple notches on the belt by now but I'm sure that will come in good time. I haven't needed the cap booster yet so I want to swap in a web. If I meta another low slot I can fit a meta 4 web. That is the plan until I get AWU injected and a bit more juice into my pg skills. I would really appreciate any fitting suggestions and tips on tactics for a low skill brawler like this. Most of the relevant skills are at 4/5 with the rest on the way. Thank you.

also, my CEO suggested swapping the DC out for a TE. Would this actually make the dif between hitting with void and wasting ammo?

Either use 2x SAR's or just dont bother with a cap injector - an MWD or web would serve you better if thats the case. You can either fit a second magstab instead of the DC or keep the DC. Personally i like DC's instead of another MFS - but thats flavour.

You use null most of the time or anti-matter. Void is only really for blapping large ships that dont move once you tackle them.

Also, any kiting ship will kill you - but that's how AB blaster ships roll.

To be frank, that is awful advice. Gallente frigs tend to have more natural hull than armor, so giving up 60% resists across the board is a bad idea. Secondly, as an active armor tank, you WILL dip into structure for a close fight. That damage control is the difference between dying and living long enough for one last rep cycle, and 2 more shots.

The fit looks solid to me. The thing to be cautious of is enemy neutralizers, should you choose to swap the booster for a web. That said, the web would give you a good shot at pulling range on the neuts.

EDIT: Missed your rigs. Trimarks work better when combined with an armor plate, I would suggest you grab an aux nano pump and a nanobot accelerator, to boost the efficiency and dps-tanked of your repair systems. As of the recent patch, active tanking armor rigs don't slow you down, but instead mess with the PG needed to fit the reps. Play with it in EFT with your skills before wasting ISK on rigs.

I was just on eft and it turns out that if I drop 1 ion to an electron I can fit the web without any changes to my tank. I kept the dc and swapped the trimarks for a explo pump and an aux nano. Thanks. Back to Amarr for more bullets, webs & rigs then once more unto the breach

If you need extra CPU, you can trade some tank for it by changing the EANM to an Adaptive Nano Plating (ANP). Still costs one powergrid, but zero CPU.

Is it better to drop only 1 gun to an elecetron or should I drop all 3 and keep the group together?

Drop the cap injector as blasters without a web is terrible

put on at least one range rig

use Neutrons because that little bit of range will save your life. For some reason i don't really have any fits saved so here is one i made in 2 min.

[Incursus, New Setup 1]
200mm Reinforced Rolled Tungsten Plates I
Damage Control II
Small Ancillary Armor Repairer, Nanite Repair Paste
Tracking Enhancer II

1MN Afterburner II
J5b Phased Prototype Warp Scrambler I
X5 Prototype Engine Enervator

Light Neutron Blaster II, Null S
Light Neutron Blaster II, Null S
Light Neutron Blaster II, Null S

Small Hybrid Burst Aerator I
Small Semiconductor Memory Cell I
Small Auxiliary Nano Pump I

If you have Genolutions however (which i thoroughly recommend)

[Incursus, New Setup 1]
200mm Reinforced Rolled Tungsten Plates I
Pseudoelectron Containment Field I
Small Ancillary Armor Repairer, Nanite Repair Paste
Magnetic Field Stabilizer II

1MN Afterburner II
J5b Phased Prototype Warp Scrambler I
X5 Prototype Engine Enervator

Light Neutron Blaster II, Null S
Light Neutron Blaster II, Null S
Light Neutron Blaster II, Null S

Small Hybrid Ambit Extension I
Small Semiconductor Memory Cell I
Small Auxiliary Nano Pump I

BYDI recruitment closed-ish

If you are struggling the try 75mm rails (these could be upgraded to 125mm rails but that is fitting dependant)

They have Lower fittings but project DPS better. Look past the raw stats and look at a DPS graph in EFT and judge where the range of your engagement normally happens.

If you have power grid and not CPU then swap EANM for 200mm plate.

Rails, AB, Scram, Web and armor rep (preferably ancillary). Kite at edge of scram range.
