You are suppose to look at the skills you want to learn and then remap to enhance your learning time. I found that because they don't give you a lot of remaps that for me, keeping them close to equal works best.

In a year's time, my interests have changed and what you are interested in right now

for your first few months it's probably best to keep all the attributes level as you need to build up skills across alot of different areas, core skills, drone skills as well as ships, guns / missiles as they all use different attributes.

I would look at getting your core certs up to a reasonable level, ideally elite but that will take 6 months if you just focused on them alone.

Once the core certs are out of the way (though you probably don't want to get them and drones to eilte immediately) you can remap for per / will and just focus on ships and weapons. Get all gunnery / missile supports to IV as soon as reasonable and ship skills to IV then do the Vs as they are appropriate

You can get 4 - 5 skills to IV in the time it takes to get one to V (roughly) so as a newer player it's best not to be too focused unless you understand exactly what you are doing.

Spent alot of time in the Skills subforum reading about other peoples experiences as well.

Use your remaps wisely (not sure what new players get these days).

You're new, you need both fitting skills and ship/weapon skills, and you don't know exactly where you're going or what order you'll do things in? Try this.

As for what to train.... that's a much larger question. But that attribute map can take you a long way while you figure it out.

Get Evemon. Create a long term plan of the goals you wish to achieve. While in the plan window, click "Optimize Attributes" and it will show the recommended mix.

If you don't know where you're going, any road will take you there.
