PocoStats - User-friendly tool for customs office statistics

In addition to my excellent API checker, (hint hint) I have recently been working on a tool to give me insight into usage statistics of pocos.

I've built this mostly for my own use, but it's grown so big it would be a waste to leave it as is.

Features:

  • Looks pretty damn sexy.
  • Sends out mails every time one of your pocos is reinforced.
  • Will tell you any and everything there is to know about the pocos you own, including but not limited to:
  • Income per planet/system/user/corp.
  • Statistics about planet types, usage times, amounts and transactions.
  • Detailed information per user/corp.
  • Compares your current owned locations to the solarsystems they are in and whether or not you missed some.
  • Easily managable user system with two levels; admin and user.

For now, I will host these for free.
Hosting costs me RL money, of course, so donations are very welcome.


So how do I sign up?
Quite simple; I'm too lazy to make the process automated, so the only way to get one is to mail me ingame.
What to include in your mail:

  • A name for your group. (The url will be pocostats/yourname/, so choose wisely.)
  • A corp key with access to AssetList.
  • A personal key with access to Notifications and NotificationTexts.

I finally got around to making it instanced, so it can now be used by multiple parties.

If anyone is interested in using it, please either poke me here or ingame and we can discuss details.

Promising work here! If you want folks to use your tool I would suggest a couple of things:


  • Create a website where a user can log in and view their POCO information (theirs or corps depending on the API they provided).
  • Never make the user wait on an API call (e.g. cronjob that stuff in the background)
  • Make the site "free". People love free!
  • Offer some stuff at a reasonable cost (e.g. sexy graphs for 1m isk a month)

As there is clearly no interest in paying for this, I will now be opening the tool up to the world.
I'm too lazy to write an automated page, and I kinda want to keep track myself, so the only way to sign up is to mail me ingame.

Let the trolling commence!

I've enjoyed the use of this....just sadly after signing up we lost half of our POCO's to Pandemic Legion where they were basing out of so....

hopefully that'll change soon though.

Any plan on updating the global stats to show more than just low-sec?

Yes, at some point, when I stop being insanely lazy, I'll set it up so the administrator for each group can select what to display there.

Theoretically, yes.
However, I quickly figured the support on such a scheme would be a massive pain in my ass.
It's a lot easier to do it like this, so I can deploy fixes whenever I choose to, keep track of server load etc.

how much isk would it take to get it put on my website Digital-Dominion.Com and then how much for you to update or give my programmer the code to update

In short, the question isn't if he'd be able to run it on your server, but if he's willing to make it open source.
I have an interest in this application aswell, but purely to package it into the mod I made, and that requires me access to the sourcecode (as I'll need to recode stuff as the forum I made my mod for already takes care of authentication).

Well, it's just as easy to just include a link, is it not? P

reason for me wanting everthing i have made specific for my website or hosted on my server is incase you or anyone zho creates theses amazing little programs quits the game i am still here and will remain here and able to hire someone to update them ....Hopefully

Man... I was JUST looking at writing a tool to do this kind of thing. Trying to figure out if I should be expanding my POCO empire. >:)

Although I probably cannot use this tool and will end up having to write my own anyways. /arg

Are there some T2 BPO's to give out? :D (But seriously, I assume the reason is I can't find out what your main is, I'd be willing to let you have the source on a gentleman's agreement.)
