if your account doesn't renew it's subscription, you can't play, hence you've quit.

You would have a point if
1) there were not a way to restart auto renewal, or a way to extend a subscription without auto renewal.
2) If time did not exist, and the future was in the past.
3) If thinking about something, or even preparing for it in case you decide to, was the same as having done it.

Since these are not true, you have no point.

I have 4 accounts, because I enjoy doing things, like mining out high sec asteroid belts, that take multiple toon hours to do, that others find tedious. If the rebalance, and hinted at removal of tediousness, removes the need for me to have 4 accounts, then it is prudent to not have all 4 auto resubbed just before the change.

But, as I said, if you can't see the difference between "stopping 3-month auto renewal on 4 accounts" and "quitting", then you are unlikely to be able to understand the explanation of the differences.

We're two months out. In less than a month, I have to make decisions about the subscriptions on my 4 accounts. In game friends of mine are already asking me about my plans for the game post Odyssey, which I can't begin to give them, not knowing what Odyssey will bring.

In a game where it takes many years to develop a character, and some skills take up to 2 months to train, it would be nice to know some details of what changes are proposed for 2 months from now.

You should have all these people contact CCP directly and then when CCP get tired of the hordes of unwashed masses shouting "the people demand to know whether he will renew his account or not!" they'll eventually relent and give us all the details to make sure you can make this decision of monumental importance while knowing that you had all the info needed to do the right thing.

You could start by admitting that turning off auto-renewal of 4 accounts is not the same thing as quitting....

Or, do you consider buying a pack of condoms to be the exact same thing as having had sex.

Show me where I said that I was quitting.... Hint. You won't find it.

I've just speculated possibilities based on what exactly will be changing.

For example, if belts that take several toon hours to mine out (that some call tedious) are replaced with rare exploration sites that a single toon can mine out quickly... well, then in that case, I won't need 4 accounts to fly around not finding any of these exploration sites.

If you can't see the difference, then your eye sight is pretty poor.

But change (any change) is good for the game, and you should simply adapt to that change or go away.

Right?

In all honesty, they don't have to tell us anything.

You asking me that?

If so, the answer is NO! I've been very much against change. As I've said many times, I pretty much like EVE as it is right now.

I'd be MUCH happier seeing NOTHING change, then I'd be if most of the ideas presented on these forums were instituted.

Sure, there are some changes I'd like to see. For example, I think the current war dec system, where if I get war decced, I just don't bother logging in, is in general, not only lame, but pretty bad for the game. But, I'd be happier that the system not be messed with then, say... remove NPC corps that allow me to escape the unwanted war dec.

I'd love to see the addition of a way to uncloak an AFK cloaky. However, NOT if that change was accompanied by an even more radical, removal of local as an intelligence tool.

Either you play EVE your way or you don't. Why should CCP determine the number of accounts you have active ? Do you seriously think there is going to be that radical of a change ? We know it involves Exploration. Is that not enough to make your determination?

Seriously. Actually had the guts to say in all seriousness that unsubbing 2 characters was not even a form of quitting.

Because buying a 4 pack of condoms is the same as having had sex 4 times?

In this reality, preparing to do something, should I decide to do it, is NOT the same thing as having already done it.

I'll take that, but I could have sworn I saw a string of iquits get shuffled into oope recently and one had his name on it. Or maybe I saw it up here I don't know.

0.0 will have boobies to get all the high sec people to go there.

There will be mass complaints about lack of boobs in high sec. Low sec will get access to A cup boobies only.

Yeah, I play EVE my way or not. What I'm asking for, is some details to help me determine if I'll be able to keep playing the eay I want... or not.

I do not have ANY idea how radical the change will be. That is why I'm asking for some details, or at least some hints.

Since a dev post hinted at looking to remove tediousness, and what most people call a tedious grind, is what I play the game for, and is CERTAINLY the reason I have 4 accounts, without some hint at details of the change, I have no idea if I'll still want/need all 4 accounts.

Come on CCP! You can't just drop a bomb shell like:

"A New "Spacescape"

A rebalance of major areas of space from highsec to nullsec include changes in exploration sites, industrial resources, some types of NPC loot and more…"

If Blizzard did, they wouldn't have lost the most players in their history (Cata was a flop).

EvE has like 500,000 subs. Well WoW lost over 1.7 million subs when the "change" got a tad too expansive even for fanbois.

Moral? Keep it in the pants. It'll either be good or bad.

Think for one minute. Why would CCP do anything that would encourage a decrease in accounts ???

Also, your attitude of "improve the game so much I will unsub half my accounts" is not gonna win you any new friends here.

Guys, what you fail to understand is that LHA *pays for his account* (*gasp*) and so obviously is entitled to getting everything he wants when he wants and how he wants it.

Heh, what was the term someone recently used? 15$ princess? I think we have found a 60$ princess :)
