Reverse Bountie's

I put a minimum bounty on a friend of mine the other day, and just got a notification about the payout. Its a good way to keep track of friends but can we have reverse bounties that pay the person who got blown up?

It would actually be a good way to compensate or say "thankyou" to support pilots like logi and ewar who tend to be in the back row. And a fun way to encourage risky flying.

A better way to encourage players flying these paper thin coffins like logistics/dictors/reccons is to fully reimburse their ship/fit with a good extra covering pod+implants loss (current ship replacement + pod exact replacement value)

No need of bounty or whatever thing for this, you can already do it so just do it.

Edit: It's just like flying command ships, just like dic/hic/logi/reccon, if you don't get full reimbursement of your loss just get in a T1 frig with a scram or an F1 shooting random full reimbursed BC and let your FC cry his mother because he's missing people to do the hardest job in his fleet/gang.

Specific roles in fleets gangs need to be encouraged by your corporation/alliance so players train for them and do it, not by CCP.

Its not the same at all. Revearse bounties would work better for pick up groups and be a good way to stay in touch with people that you don't talk to on a regular basis. And a careful pilot who didnt get blown up a lot could amass a pretty good insurance buffer this way.

People always say thanks to logi pilots, but this might encourage them to throw some isk in the pot.

And CCP wouldn't be encouraging anything, the ISK is all from players. The coding would probably be a pretty easy fix since bounties just got redone, it doesn't seem like it would be too hard to add the code required for this to work.

The more I think about it the more I like it.

So... Basically, you want a player to be able to financed insurance for other players?

Well... it would make a neat alternative to the ship replacement programs we've all seen.

Yes, I guess that's what it would be. I just like getting a payout notice when a budy gets blown up, just something to talk about and a reason to get in touch. But it is kind of rude to put a bounty on friends. This would be a whole new form of player interaction that we haven't seen yet, it could be a type of ship replacement or a perk for joining a corp or payment for services to be rendered...On that note it might be neat if the person who put the ISK in the pot could at any time switch it to a normal bounty!
