Setting up a new wh advice channel

I don't really get why someone would need personal advisers when all the info is already out there. Most of us got into w-space when much of it was still little known or unknown. Nowadays all the 'secrets' are described in myriad guides and tutorials, there are videos showing exactly how to scan fast, websites conveniently listing all the statics and so on. It was never easier to get to know most about w-space without even setting a foot into it. The idea that people nonetheless need to be spoon-fed with knowledge makes me a little sick.

Still, if your efforts bring more people into w-space, even dumb and lazy ones, I'm all for it.

The purpose of this channel is really to move away from the EvE uni model, which is based off of null sec ideology and other bad habits which will not work in wormhole space. We really want to help out the smaller guys on creating a corp/group with a proper wormhole culture in order to foster growth and development in wormhole space and better the w-space culture and community as a whole.

I've been in that channel and tbh some of the advice given in there was terrible, was loads of troilling and it wasnt really that useful from what i can see although i might well try and get people from there that want help in the new channel

Trolling? In MY EVE?

NEVER.

I always use channels for their intended purposes. And I have never, EVER trolled Recruitment Chat. for hours. to the point where the spammers stopped posting.

never.

Trolling has not and never will be a part of EVE Online.

I've opened this up to general so anyone can join i've tried to get all the csm people in there so people can ask them questions (hopefully i'll get last few in me being slack i havent caught them online , but i hope they join as several have already)

I've also had a fair few ask if they can give advice and i'm really happy about the amount of people who have offered to help give advice, all i will say is make sure its good adice, and you know what your talking about people you type it.

so anyone wanting to ask some of the wh candidates stuff join "whadvice"

Most of the old guard came in to wormholes at a time when No ONE knew what they were doing there and it was equally fresh to us all. There was a lot of mistakes but not a lot of people to take advantage of them

The new guys that wants to start up have to compete with a large old guard that is able to exploit the slightest sign of weakness the fact that peeps like corbexx is willign to help pull new guys up to scratch faster means more targets not just willing but able to give proper fights so much quicker.

The secrets and tactics can be described a thousand times over it doesn't change the fact that sometimes having a person explaining specific questions is the best and quickets methods to learn.

But oh well no cure for stupid (ps i aint talking bout the people who join the channel)
