T2 MJD: Can drag BC or smaller nearby squad members along.

This would provide players with a new way to tactically use BSs in fleets of any size.

Put your squad commanders in battleships, and they can MJD their squadmates within 10km around.

Major flaw: I don't know how to apply this to wing or fleet commanders without making it OP. Hmm... maybe they are on their own...

Edit 1: Sqaud members within 10km of the BS would be jumped 100km in the same direction as the BS, but conserve their current vectors.

Edit 2: Increased cap usage and/or recharge time per additional ship moved could be a good idea, and also justify lower base cap usage and/or recharge time than the t1 version.

Edit 3: Heat could also play a part in this.

Edit 4: Squad member distance is only checked upon module activation. Should make it easier to coordinate and use less server ressources. Adding squad member and squad commander categories to overview settings would certainly help too.

Edit 5: A new broadcast type to tell squad members who to regroup on could be nice too.

Make it all ships, not just squadies.

No more station games, ever.

Twisted idea. I don't like it as a T2 version of the MJD, but could be a new offensive module. Projected MJD?

Better yet, make medium and small mjds

Bad idea. MJDs gave a long missing place to BSs in small engagements.

And adding them for smaller ships would break that advantage how?

Smaller ships have a considerable agility advantage over Battleships and can much easier escape a fight than BSs. MJDs gave BSs a way (with its limitations, of course) to flee a fight they really lacked before.

Allowing smaller ships to pursue them in the micro jump, would just render MJDs useless.

Not really when you consider that if the BS has no intention to fight the frigs they would just warp away after jumping, however if they did the bs would be sniper fit and the frigs would need something to counter it. And as a trade up for small micro jump drives they'd be drawing less.power for the jump but still enough to justify a longer spool time.

A MWD fitted Slasher needs less time to get under the guns of a sniping BS than the BS needs to lock it (assuming no SeBos). Smaller ships really aren't helpless facing MJD fitted BS. Giving the smaller ships MJDs is unnecessary IMHO. They have other was of catching a BS, even MJD fitted.

Aren't all of those bonuses based on speed and ability to cover distance quickly, which hurts ships like assault frigs which have a high mass

So, do you believe that a small MJD exclusive to assault ships would be a good idea? I don't think so, because they would just serve as warp-ins for their fleet and the whole MJD thing is moot again.

And jumping 50km from the minimum warp distance wouldn't affect that?

I like this idea. We already have jump bridges. And this adds a tactical element to fleets encouraging diversity in smaller fleets or even in larger fleets. Which is a good thing we want to keep going.

This is precisely my point.

50km less to fly subwarp for the pursuers (they just fly 50km in the opposite direction).

Ans letting more than just battleships do that is Op?

Can't we just start with tractor beams? I prefer the idea of "yoinking" ships from space like in starwars... millenium falcon enters death star...
